My experience with Prudential has been among the worst experiences I have ever had with any investment group. Demand is hereby made that you amend the ****-R you issued my wife, ***************************, to indicate that no funds were received by you in 2021. The ****-R should be issued for 2022, as that is when we received the funds.From what I understand, you closed out a small account that my wife had with you. From what I was told, you do not keep accounts under $1000. I do not see where any documents my wife signed would indicate that she agreed with such a policy, and such policies cannot be changed without notice. Nonetheless, it is interesting that you apparently decided to close this account haphazardly and without reason one day, considering my wife has actually never had $1000 in that account.We had no idea that you unilaterally decided to close my wifes account. We were given no notice of such and my wife did not agree to such. We never received any check (until very recently) and never received any tax document for 2021. Be that as it may, when you unilaterally decided to close my wifes account without reason, this created a taxable event for us. Now, we are unwittingly in a position where we must amend our taxes because of your companys actions.We finally received a replacement check a few days ago. I have not yet cashed it. See attached.My wife filed her taxes already. If she is forced to amend her taxes, she will pay interest and penalties. Additionally, the cost to amend her taxes is more than your check is even worth. I am demanding that you amend the ****-R to indicate that we did not receive funds in 2020 but in 2021, or else just keep the $92.59, as I have not yet cashed the check.Please call me at ************ so that I may learn your intentions.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter
