Please never use *** Primary *********. I used them for my ************************************************************** Their staff changes constantly. Their Nurse Practitioners leave without notice. Communication between service providers, between family and care team, between *** and the Assisted Living nursing staff was horrible if it existed at all. No one followed up after an NP visit--I had to call over and over to get reports Visit appointments were frequently broken without notice NPS had no incoming information on prior condition of my mom, 93 -post colorectal surgery The nurse from home care company we used was the most reliable This home care nurse new my mother's emotional and physical condition. We all had to make sure the *** NP had important information for my mom There is one very wonderful case manager with this company who attended to my concerns and helped get the bloodwork we needed. After the report came back with very bad results, this NP has yet to talk to our family about how she will address my mothers medical needs. At this point I don't trust her decisions and will seek another medical team to take the next step. The NP that is currently working with mom, ordered an anti-depressant for my mom (who has dementia) the # 2 drug not to give elderly people" on the top 10 list of the worst drugs for elders on the "Beers list". Please read this before even considering ALC for HOSPICE CARE for someone you love. My Mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer that already spread to her liver, she was given 6 months to live. My Sisters and I interviewed 4 different *******s Companies and one Nurse came highly recommended from ALC. My Mother decided she wanted to go with ALC so only less then a month into her Terminal diagnosis, she decided on ***********. My Mother was extremely low maintenance for over 4 months, with the Nurse only having to come once a week and the *** once a week. When Mom started having issues around 4 weeks prior to her death, every time we called we were given attitude on the phone and if a Nurse had to come out even more attitude. These nurses had absolutely NO CARE, COMPASSION or EMPATHY for my Mom nor our family. Mom wanted ******* to have a peaceful death, but this company made the dying process horrific for my Mother and my Sisters and I. They could not get her medications right, Nurse came in and talked ABOUT HERSELF AND HER FAMILY THE ENTIRE VISIT EVERY WEEK!!! ******* Companies are supposed to be there for you 24/7 no matter whT without attitude!!! I am sad my Mother had to suffer over a week of restless nights and anxiety because NO ONE WANTED TO LISTEN TO HER OUR MY SISTERS AND I! Unacceptable!!!! Our Mom was our EVERYTHING and we wanted the BEST CARE for her, *********** could not provide what is supposed to be ******* care! Mom died early in the morning and it disgusted me by receiving a text message from her Social Worker that afternoon that she was "SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT MOM". Yes, a text message!!!! Please do your research before hiring this company for ******* care!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is only part of the nightmare in the above statement!!!!!
