I am disputing the finance charges of $2614.72 (2/13/23) and subsequent interest charges of $240.20 (as of 3/18/24). These charges are in reference to a large purchase made in late 2018, and we were given a 4-year interest free promotion. We were given a rough estimate of our monthly payment (at the store level) in order to fulfill our obligation before the promotion expiry date. We were on autopay and did not miss any payments throughout the 4-year period. However, on 11/25/22 we made a sizable new purchase, and we were not informed of the need for a payment allocation at the store level in terms of the previous balance relative to the new purchase. We were also not informed that I must place a call into ************* for said allocation. The balance due in relation to the 2018 purchase was only $606.82 (at the time of the 11/25/22 purchase), how is $2614.72 in finance charges justified? The situation was relayed to your dispute department but to no avail. We have been long time customers of your establishment, and expect you to resolve this matter as outlined above.
