Charged for an extended wrnty, retailer has been giving me the run around and will not honor. 2016 purchased 12 pcs of furniture w/ 5yr extended wrnty. 2018, an articulating table came apart, was offered bigger screws to reattach. Declined, didn't want to be held liable. Promised a follow-up to schedule repair, no callback. Multiple excuses & false promises later, cut my loses. 2019-2020, a few seams come undone on couches, drove to store to find it out of business, yet number was still active, so left messages but no call back.2021, seams get worse, wishfully call and surprisingly speak to Katlynn, she said they consolidated to Libertyville after closing due to COVID. Vitaly & *****, the two I had been dealing with were no longer employed, but she would handle the process moving forward. Asked to email pics to file claim, once verified they schedule repairs. A wk later, get an email asking to send receipt with inv. # & date which I provded initially. Sent & called for update, was told Katlynn was out for the rest of the wk. Asked to spk to a manager, said someone would get back me. Got an email that I needed to call Gaurdian Protection to file extended wrnty claim. Called back to get an explanation why I had been jerked around for the past few years and now I'm getting this. I asked for the owner's name & requested to speak to him. He stated from the pics, the furnature was indicative of normal wear & tear and that it was 5yrs old, but to feel welcome to file a claim myself, that they didn't work with Gaurdian anymore and they also had no record of my purchase because they use a diiferent book keeping system. I just needed to provide Gaurdian my email. I never gave them an email when I made my purchase, how would they have it, but called anyway and went through the process to file a claim, then spoke to ****** a Gaurdian rep, only to hear, they were not the wrnty provider as stated by Sell a Cow and to have them provide proof if otherwise.
