March 2021 - verbal agreement between myself and 847techs to provide data migration of ******+ photos and ***** + videos that were of me and my children only and screen shots from my iphone, as well as ****** photos and emails downloaded onto a brand new in box external hard drive. I left my iphone, apple watch, apple computer with this business for 2weeks and paid $600 in cash to have my devices restored and wiped clean. He gave a verbal agreement that all of my photos and videos would be guaranteed transferred to my new hard drive with a c-hub adaptor for my apple products and would make the password onto the hard drive "password". He plugged in my phone and external hard drive in front of my face and said "you can leave these here as I can see you have thousands of photos and videos and its going to take a very long time to migrate from your phone and icloud and ****** onto the external hard drive. I will have to leave this running in the background and you can come back another time and pick up your devices". I agree to leave my devices with him and picked them up at an agreed upon time via a phone call when they were ready. I trusted that everything was completed as agreed upon. I did not open the hard drive until 1.3 years later as I did not have aneed to open it yet. What I found on the hard drive was NOT MY life - it was other people's lives I've never seen before, their work, videos, and random family photos. ALL OF MY PHOTOS AND VIDEOS FROM THE LAST 11 YEARS as a mother, of my children, of vacations to europe, every moment Ive ever cherished or had - was gone, not on my external hard drive as promised in our verbal agreement. I have emailed this business, he has now blocked my emails. He is not responding and OWES me my personal photos and videos over ******+ personal items have been lost/stolen/deleted and he must now recovery them and give me the copies he has on his computer immediately.
