11/20/23 I received a call from someone stating they were a collection agency and I owed money. I stated I was sure this was a scam call and hung up. Shortly after I received a letter from ATG credit stating they were a collection agency for True Health Diagnostics for a bill from 5 years ago. I had NEVER received any bills reflecting money was owed. I called the number on the letter and spoke to someone who said that I owed them money, and that I could dispute the claim or that I could pay them right then. I explained that I certainly was not going to pay a bill that I knew nothing about. I requested a detailed copy of the lab bill in question, and she stated they had 30 days to send the information. I also stated to the young woman that I was concerned about the time running out and it reflecting poorly on my credit score. She stated that the process stopped until things were reviewed. She seemed very knowledgeable about HIPAA requirements. Since this occurred during holiday. I had to wait until the Monday following Thanksgiving and I called the doctors office that I had used at the time that this blood work was done. I spoke to someone in the billing office who informed me that True Health diagnostics had filed for bankruptcy some years ago and that it was a SCAM. I started doing some research and learned that true Health diagnostics file chapter 11 bankruptcy in July 19, they no longer exist. A collection agency cannot collect for a company that no longer exists. if this ATG collection agency isn't aware that true Health diagnostics filed bankruptcy in 2019,I am extremely unsure that they are a legitimate collections agency. I will not be paying any money to this scam and if necessary I will take legal action. I cannot help but think of all of the poor people seniors citizens especially, who are being scammed in this manner Reading the other reviews it is clear that this is a process in the hopes of stealing money from unsuspecting victims.ATG Credit, LLC Response

True Health Diagnostics was contracted with doctor's offices all over the nation and the billing office you spoke to might not be properly informed regarding the history of the company. It is public record that True Health Diagnostics filed bankruptcy due to unpaid AR. The unpaid AR was sold and purchased through a bankruptcy trustee. ATG Credit is not aware of fraudulent billing activities. ATG Credit has validated the debt and provided proof of the services provided to the consumer. The claim was processed through the consumers insurance (South ******************** and the consumer can verify this with their insurance carrier for further detail. Your review has been notated on the account. We are happy to discuss payment arrangements on the outstanding balance via phone at ************ or via LiveChat on our website, www.atgcredit.com.Review from Elizabeth T

On Dec 31 2022, ATG sent me a collection notice for a service with True Health Diagnostics in 2018! Try as I might, I could not get any records from the doctor's ****** (another obnoxious story), so when I finally got further information from ATG about the debt, I began making phone calls. I found out that True Health should have discounted this bill per my insurance policy, so I turned to the invoice they sent with the same address (****** *****) that the insurance company had for Ture Health, and called them to discuss the billed amounts. This Address/Phone Number for True Health Diagnostics is a SCAM!! DO NOT CALL IT. True Health Diagnostics is BANKRUPT!! Their OLD PHONE NUMBER has been taken over by scammers. When I confronted ATG about why they sent me an invoice with an Address/Phone/Fax number of a non-existent company, the customer service rep just said, "We have to send you something."If you do get caught up in this BS back billing of old services DO NOT CALL TRUE HEALTH DIAGNOSTICS.Now we have to cancel the credit card that I gave the scammers, thinking I was paying a debt.ATG Credit, LLC Response

I'm sorry for the confusion True Health Diagnostics is no longer in operation, the client is under bankruptcy and we have been appointed the accounts by their Bankruptcy Trustee. We do thank you for supplying us with your insurance company's explanation of benefits. We have adjusted your balance to reflect this discount. We would be happy to help you resolve the remaining balance for this account. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter.Review from Isabella T

ATG credit tried to steal $363 from my banking account....when I contacted the original creditor they advised me they've never heard of ATG credit and they were already several complaints against ATG Credit. Thank goodness for fraud alert protection on my account I was able to block and stop any and all future attempts from this horrible deceitful company. When I called ATG to confront them, a very flippant and rude young man said "just calm down lady oh my God". They're theives!!!Review from Edyta F

I reached out to ATG about a negative impact I received on my credit score. They told me that radiology at the hospital was trying to collect on $55. This was from July of 2020. After having to ask multiple times the rep from ATG told me that this amount was in collections since December *************************************************************************************** collectionsReview from polly

I did not receive any communication with this agency prior to it being placed on my credit report. Letters were sent to an incorrect address and I have no record of missed phone calls or voice mail messages. I had no idea this **** was in collections until it was placed on my credit report. I have been divorced since 2015 and they had my married name on a debt from 2017.Review from Gina B

Got a call out of the blue this morning from ****** at ATG Credit about an outstanding **** from *********** from two years ago. *********** had filed for bankruptcy, so I explained to ****** that when I tried to pay my original ****, the online payment portal and phone number both did not work. I did not get the original notice *** sent because it was sent to the wrong address. I asked to have a new paper **** sent to me because I wasn't comfortable just giving my credit card number out randomly over the phone. She then said she would "note my refusal to pay" and hung up on me!
