I walked into the establishment in May of 2022 and talked to the manager and explained to him that my car was making a creeking noise when I turned my wheel and it felt like the tires would fall to that side and wouldn't straighten itself out when I accelerated and I almost ran into the curb when I tried to make a right turn, so I left my car. He called me back later that day and said it was the struts and the sway bar and a wheel alignment. He said it would be $1400. I told him I didn't have the money at the time so I took my car that day but came back 6/26/2022 to have the work done. After they did the work I noticed the steering felt strange but I thought it might be the new parts were tight, so I drove it for almost 2 weeks and it was still the same. It was still doing everything it was doing before they did the work on it. When I came back and told him it was still doing the same as before he and I took a drive and I showed him the steering wouldn't straighten when u accelerate. We went back to the shop, lifted the car and he showed me the control arm, the rubber was cracking on both sides and I asked why they didn't notice that before they charge me $1400. He said I would have to pay to do the control arm because I have a 2010 SRX and he can't give me a new suspension and he can't guarantee the control arm was the problem. Then he told me to drive it around for a few weeks and if the noise gets louder maybe they can see what the problem is because they had everybody in the garage check it and nobody knows what the problem is. I asked him why he didn't tell me that before he charged me $1400, I told him that it's not right to guess and charge that much money, but he had no response. I'm not sure what's really fare but I know it wasn't fare what they did, because I thought the struts were the problem because they told me it was. And when it wasn't it was like oops but there's nothing we can do, and go to someone else because we don't know what the problem is.
