A new algorithm developed by the BBB Institute for Marketplace Trust reveals that face-to-face home improvement scams and fake check scams are among the riskiest cons threatening consumers. This data comes from the first Scam Tracker Annual Risk Report and is based on reports made to the new BBB Scam Tracker in 2016.

In addition to types of scams, the report also looked at the most susceptible populations and found that men were more vulnerable than women and that millennials tend to fall for scams more often than seniors.
