My contractor Mike Efaw, is trying to extort me for non payment. I have found 65k worth of materials missing from my home thats in our contract. He has not given me one receipt since he has been my contractor so that number could be far higher.State Farm provided me a bid for my loss and it is what ************ used for our contract.************ stated he would give me free upgrades, but are not free as I am paying for them by subtracting things in our contract for them. I took out a bedroom in the blueprints and he has still charged me 10k for it. I did not want a fire place and he still charged me for it. He did not conduct the debris removal and demo but still billed me for it.I have paid ************ $125,000 and he is still asking for more money for work he has not done. He is harassing me into complying and attempting to extort me. He is threatening me with lawyers and has sent me 40 plus text messages in two days when I told him I was emotionally distraught. He says he is going to put a lien on my home and that he would "come on my property and take up everything he has done so far if I dont pay him." I stated to him Im not comfortable moving forward without receipts and he has stopped work on my home. The harassment has been constant for months and today he said he went through with the lien because I didnt comply. He told me his lawyer said that the times up to pay. There was no form of agreement or anything in writing about certain time perimeters I had.
