Programs

              

ELC offers the following classes to more than 500 adult students of varying nationalities each year: (1) ESOL/English courses at all levels (Basic Phonics, Literacy Skills, Civics Education, Beginning to Advanced Writing, Beginning to Advanced Reading, (2)Basic Life Skills including instruction in areas such as housing, financial literacy, shopping, banking, and finding healthcare (3)Business & Technology: Basic Computer/ Technology Skills, Internet Skills), (4) U.S. Citizenship Preparation: Preparing for the U.S. Citizenship exam and interview (5) Employment: Workplace Literacy and Workplace Essentials instruction, resume creation, job application skills, interview skills, basic workplace safety instruction. (6) Refugee Education: enrolling refugees in ELC’s educational English classes.
