CRP serves the low-income community of Sacramento, Sutter, and Yuba Counties in the fields of housing, health, and education. Our Housing Division administers the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) in Sacramento, Sutter, and Yuba Counties. Through the LIHEAP program, CRP provides utility assistance payments for income eligible families who struggle to pay their utility bills. Eligible participants can qualify once every two years to receive a credit to their utility bill. CRP also performs weatherization for income-qualified renters and homeowners. Through this program, we replace windows and doors, repair or replace appliances, install heating and cooling systems, and perform a variety of other measures to make the home more energy efficient. Our Health Division administers the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program in Sacramento County. WIC provides nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support and education, and food vouchers to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and children under the age of five. CRP's Health Division is working to open the Nueva VisiĆ³n Academy (NVA) Charter High School, in Galt. NVA is tailored for English Language Learners and aims to close the achievement gap among Latino students in Sacramento County.
