Programs

              

Northern Nevada Literacy Council provides free educational services to students who are seeking to pass a high school equivalency exam and to students who are learning English as a second language. Educators provide instruction that is appropriate for the students' needs and level of knowledge. Students take exams on a periodic basis to provide valuable information regarding their progress. The current schedule of classes is from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, Monday through Thursday; and, 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. It also offers additional tutoring on Fridays, which allows students to receive more one-on-one attention. The school provides additional training and presentations whenever possible. Currently, its offers a citizenship class to help community members who are studying to take the citizenship exam. Students are encouraged to further their education and plan out their goals, and career counseling is also offered in an aim to help our students succeed.
