Mississippi Kidney Foundation provides services to kidney patients, their families, and the public across the state. The organization offers a free renal evaluation and assessment program, designed to identify individuals that are at an increased risk for kidney disease. The Foundation offers patient conferences, designed for kidney dialysis and transplant patients, and their families. There are also emergency funds to assist patients with immediate funding for items such as medication or transportation to appointments. According to the organization, in 2014, 1,165 patients were helped with emergency funding from the Mississippi Kidney Foundation.
