Programs

              

Designated the Official Shakespeare Company of the Commonwealth by the Kentucky legislature, Kentucky Shakespeare is a professional theatre company and not-for-profit charitable organization. Founded in 1949, Kentucky Shakespeare currently serves more than 108,000 people annually through the free Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park, education programs in schools, public performances, and community outreach. Last season Kentucky Shakespeare toured in 83 counties, serving 69,000 students with interactive educational programming directly tied to academic standards, helping impact student achievement. Kentucky Shakespeare's many community programs explore conflict resolution, empathy building, and communication, in a range of settings, from preschools to senior centers.
