Columbus, OH - BBB is kicking off National Consumer Protection Week with The BBB Institute for Marketplace Trust's inaugural BBB Scam Tracker Annual Risk Report. The new BBB Risk Index is a sophisticated analysis that looks beyond the volume of scams reported to BBB Scam Tracker and evaluates the risk that each type of scam possesses.
Although scams have gone high-tech, the riskiest scam is still face-to-face home improvement scams. The data reveals other surprises as well, breaking down risk-factors by age and gender.
