Overview

OSLSA is a nonprofit law firm founded by the Ohio State Bar Association. They have a direct service component (Southeastern Ohio Legal Services) and a state support center. Southeastern Ohio Legal Services (SEOLS), provides free legal representation to low-income clients in a number of civil legal problems. SEOLS does not provide criminal defense representation. SEOLS handles public benefits, housing, unemployment compensation, family, consumer, education, employment, health and other matters. OSLSA's goal is to act as general counsel to their client community. They are committed to searching out the patterns, causes, and solutions of the recurring and fundamental legal problems facing their client community, and seeking legal recourse necessary to redress the grievances of their clients, both as a community and as individuals.
