I took my car into this shop on Monday, December 27, 2021 and picked it up on December 31st. I told them I had a leak near the rear tire. They told me my brake calibers were locked and replaced those for over $900. It turns out the brakes were NOT even the problem. The leak continued in the same exact spot even after I asked them upon picking up the vehicle if the leak was fixed. They told me yes it was. I had to bring the car back to them only for them to take another day and half to tell me it was a fuel leak and was a part of a recall. Which I then got fixed for free. So I’m out $900 for a repair that did not fix the initial problem and could have been taken care of easily by a family member. I was also driving the car around for another month with a fuel leak that could have been a safety hazard. I took the car back in on January 17th and they told me the next day about the recall issue and I would have to take it to the dealer. So overall it’s been about a month dealing with this issue with that I would not have had to pay for. I paid $921.43 for a repair that I did not take the car in for. My car is a 2011 Ford Fusion and I can provide documentation of the recall information and the fix by the Ford dealership.
