  • BBB files indicate this business has a pattern of complaints concerning customer service as well as billing and collection issues. Specifically consumers allege that there are many occasions when they are charged extra for their subscription for the TV Times inserts, which they are unable to opt out of, or that subscription prices increase without notice and this deducts from the length of the subscription. Some consumers report that they have been promised refunds but the refund is delayed. Consumers also allege difficulty working with the customer service department. On October 18, 2016, BBB sent certified correspondence to the company requesting their voluntary cooperation in eliminating the pattern of complaints on file with BBB. On October 31, 2016 the business responded stating: "We certainly never want an unhappy subscriber and do regret that certain of our subscribers are not satisfied, but we believe the allegations are completely without merit. The surcharge policy is clearly set forth on the subscription renewal notices in a very prominent spot. The renewal subscription invoices clearly state, in clearly legible print, that 'The term length reflects basic subscription rates without surcharges...there is a $X surcharge on each dates of (Premium Edition) publication. Surcharges will accelerate the expiration of your subscription.' The policy is also included in a disclaimer in the "box" on the publication itself. That being said, we will gladly look further into the complaints to come up with a satisfactory resolution. However to do so, we ask that you provide us with further details and specifics as to each of the particulars of the complaint."
