            Status:
            Answered
During a March 2022 service call, without my prior knowledge or consent, ******* Vibriral had his IWP serviceman remove and take my high end Pentair ***** **** XTR2i water softener controller, purportedly to test it in his shop. IWP replaced my controller with a piece of junk, used controller that never worked properly (would not shut of regeneration cycles). For over two months, ******* has refused to return my controller, and I want BBB's assistance to get that done. The uploaded picture of the IWP Invoice (which was fully paid at the time of purchase) shows the water softening system part ID number to be *******. The uploaded picture of the ProFlow Product Catalog on the IWP website shows that exact system part ID number together with a picture of the system's controller and its model number (**** XTR2i). Thus, there cannot be a reasonable dispute regarding what controller I purchased. During a telephone call ******* told me that my **** XTR2i controller was working flawlessly in his shop. So I requested that it be reinstalled, which ******* refused, leaving me with a used controller that did not work. That left me little choice but to hire another company to install a new water softener controller (***** model) at considerable cost. I then took IWP's piece of junk, used controller to my builder and again requested that ******* return my Model **** XTR2i controller. In response, ******* provided a different model controller and purported that it was the one which he removed from my house. The uploaded picture of the front of the controller he returned (currently in my builders office) contains two permanent ID tags, both of which clearly identify it as a Model **** XTR2 rather than my controller which is a Model **** XTR2i. In addition, ******* did not return the housing that goes over the controller or the apparatus required to attach the controller to the resin tank and water system.

On February 14, 2021, we lost water due to the freeze. Our whole-house reverse osmosis system was destroyed. We have very hard water, 88 - 100 grains, so a water treatment system is an essential rather than a luxury. The original water system installer was not available and recommended IWP. They came out on February 25, 2021 and serviced the system by putting in a temporary pump to supply well water to part of the house - two bathrooms, but no laundry room or kitchen. Unfortunately, they never hooked the well back up. So they came out again on March 1, 2021 to hook it up. They were supposed to return and install a new RO system, but never did. Then on April 12, 2021, they sent me a bill for $1,880 with $385 being for the additional service call - the one to fix the work they didn't do right the first time, and $950 for the temporary pump. This was a pump that I was told was a loaner, it certainly didn't look new. So here we are two months later, no water in the kitchen, no water in the laundry room, no RO water in the house, and a pump I never agreed to purchase. Don't just avoid this company, run when they come calling.

This is not one of our customers. He was on a list to wait behind 43 people during the freeze damage and was not patient enough to wait his turn... We never quoted the job...

They never quoted the job, and never completed the job, but they did say they were going to fix my system and make it even better than it was before because technology has advanced, they certainly billed me and collected payment without hesitation. Its the first time Ive ever had to pay for incomplete, substandard services. I stand by my previous statements - this business is one to avoid.

Yes, we collected payment for the temporary pump we installed that you would have water, just as you requested. It was work performed over two days. If you would have had patience and not verbally abused the ladies in the office, we would have served you... We have a Zero tolerance policy for verbal abuse of our ladies in the office.

The work was performed over two days because it wasnt completed correctly the first time. Specifically, on his way out, the installer said he forgot to turn on the well pump and I just needed to flip the breaker. When I did, water went everywhere; the pipe wasnt even connected. Then a second service fee was charged for the return trip to fix it. Speaking of the installer, he called me and apologized for the mess your company made. He stated he had left your company due to Darrells poor business ethic. He then offered to come make the repairs, but another company had already started the work. Patience is sometimes that expires when a month has passed and my calls are not returned. As for verbally abusing the ladies, I spoke with one individual and expressed my disgust with Darrells business practices and poor ethics - the installer and I hold the same opinion. I never said anything abusive towards her. The only abuse that occurred was when ******* returned my call and cussed me out. There was no discussion with him, he went straight into a tirade and said he wouldnt complete the work under any circumstances. Thats the only statement he made that he followed through.
