    On Wednesday, Dec. 28, I brought my dog in for emergency services due to a dog attack. A Great **** attacked my dog while I was walking him in the neighborhood. The person walking the dog lost control of the Great ***** and it attacked my dog, causing him to have a puncture wound and some tears in his chest area. Around 11pm on Dec. 28, the clinic Angel of Mercy Animal Critical Care Clinic informed me I could take my dog home. They administered medication for him, and one was an antibiotic. The nurse included medicines in a plastic bag. I got home and noticed there were only three in the bag and not four. The one missing was the Baytril 68 that costs $71.47. It's an antibiotic. I contacted the ******** on Dec. 29 by phone to let them be aware, but the person on the phone spoke to the vet tech and accused me of lying and stated the vet tech gave me all four medicines. She accused me that I did in fact have the missing medication, and she asked me to check in my car. I did not find any antibiotics. She says because there was no proof, the clinic would have to charge me again but with a discount. I told her I will not pay for something that was not my fault. Also, the owner of the dog who attacked mine paid for the entire vet bill. I gave the owner the number of the clinic and told her the situation. So, I'm filing this formal complaint for an extreme lack of customer service and a complete disregard for my well-being. The doctor **************** was extremely condescending to me over the phone, and he praised the owner of the dog because she paid the pill, and did not show empathy toward me. It was almost as if he was blaming me for the dog attack even though animal control has confirmed the owner was in violation of the law. I will be contacting my attorney as well to include this as a part of my claim.

    We drove 30 minutes to get my puppy tested only after being told on the phone they could provide the service. When we arrived, we were denied due to the lack of emergency. Please dont tell someone you can do something when you cant.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.  We are an emergency vet hospital.  We triage clients as they come in.  Perhaps between the time you called and the time you arrived several critical clients arrived.  Their needs would be met first.  Depending on the stability of your pet we may have told you that at that time we could not treat your pet because it was stable enough to go to your regular day vet.  As I do not know the situation of your call or what the test was that you wanted, I can only surmise what the staff told you upon your arrival, which was based on what type of emergencies the staff was already dealing with.  If you would like to provide further information, I can research for further.  Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

    I understand if several clients were to come in, but that was not said. We are a military family trying to head home on emergency leave. When the person I spoke to on the phone said the test was possible, we were so relieved. We were supposed to leave the next morning, thankfully another local vet was able to accommodate. We were looking to get a tapeworm test as our puppy had it previously and was medicated. We needed the test to confirm he didnt have it so we could board him and head home to our family. The lady that answers the door with multi color hair was inconsiderate and does not have an empathetic bone in her body. This was by far the worst experience Ive had with a business here in ***********.
