Friday, we saw a Corvette that was the same year and model as I once owned. First, they couldn't find the key so I could not drive it. I kept asking so they found the key, but said that the newly arrived car had not been state inspected and couldn't be driven until their mechanic came back on Monday. It was 7pm on a Friday so I believed them when they promised that I needn't worry that someone else might buy it from under me on Saturday because it wasn't even being advertised yet. Monday morning, I called shortly after they opened @ 10:30am and offered put down a deposit before I driving up (2.5 hours) and picking it up. "No problem, hold on." When they came back on the line, I was told that a different salesperson actually did show the car to someone else on Saturday.Somehow they offered the other buyer right of first refusal instead of me. I called again on Tuesday Morning and sent proof of funds because the other buyer still didn't have any. Yet, they wanted to wait one more day. When I called on Wednesday morning, they were at an auction. They texted me Wednesday afternoon to let me know that they were still holding it and remind me that they lost an opportunity because I declined to buy the lesser vehicle that I originally drove in to see on the same day that I offered to buy the Corvette in cash. Oh, really? So that's why I got messed over? Am I am only allowed to buy the car that you want me to buy before I ever see it? In **** real estate terms... this kinda preferential treatment was once called redlining... not sure what to call it these days. It is now Thursday, and they want me to believe that they are "honor their word" even though they offered right of first refusal to someone else within 24 hours of promising that it wouldn't happen because the car wasn't state inspected yet. I think I got caught between partners who share a lot but didn't want to share a sale... Watch your back folks.

Ok, so this is the second review this guy has left that is full of lies. Here is how this REALLY went down. This customer called me on a *********************************************** that he wanted to buy and was driving from 2 hours away so I said " Im not that guy, if you are driving from out of town, I will hold it until you get here" During that time I did have a guy walk in and want to purchase the Audi. So I did as I said I would and called this customer to make sure his plans hadn't changed. He said he was still coming so I told the guy here he would have to wait. I tell this not because it had anything to do with the Corvette deal, but to explain that I am a man of my word. After the guy came and drove it, he decided he didn't want it because it didn't have enough power. He drove other cars as well but didn't buy any. Thats when he saw the corvette. As soon as I arrived, I located the keys, and showed him the car. I did tell him that it needed a wheel sensor and that I could get it put on Monday. He asked me what I would take and we agreed on a price. At that time, he said that he still needed to talk to his wife. I had to verify that he said that on the security cameras in my office since he seemed to forget that's what he said. In fact when I told him about that his response in text was " I didn't want to seem too eager" So at NO POINT, did the customer say that he was 100% buying it, or offered a deposit. Being in business for 30 years, I am well aware of many times spouses have put the brakes on car deals, Especially on a sports car. So then on Saturday, a different customer comes in and sees the corvette and decides he wanted to buy it. He left a deposit and said he would be back on Wednesday to get it. If I held a car for everyone that said they wanted to buy it but had to still talk to their spouse, I would have been out of business along time ago. To sum up all of this customers lies, I never promised to not sell a car that he was looking at. I did say it wasn't advertised, but never said I wouldn't sell it. The first car he called on had NOTHING to do with the Corvette deal. I did tell him that the other customer on the Audi that I told had to wait for him declined buying it but again, it was to say being a man of my word sometime cost me a deal. Im not sure how I am the bad guy when I was honoring the other mans DEPOSIT. You take a deposit to give someone time to get everything lined up. This customer texted several times wanting me to not honor the other guys deposit because he hadn't given all the money. Guess he's not sure how deposits work. Also he left a negative review for another dealer that I rent a section of the lot to. This is not about partners, or anything else. He is simply mad because he didn't commit to buying and someone else did and I'm the bad guy for being a man of my word when it comes to someone leaving a deposit.
