I bought a home in 2021 with a pool that was installed by ************* in 2020. Pool-ology then bought Maximus shortly after. I noticed several cracks summer 2023. ******************* with Pool-ology came out last Aug to review. I asked why the new pool was cracking and he told me it was due to ***** environments, and nothing could be done to stop it. I respectfully disagreed. NO pool should be cracking in the pool in less than 3 yrs. He told me possibly the contractor may have used lesser quality materials and even may have shorted needed hardener. He told me he could not warranty ANYTHING due to I was the 2nd homeowner due to their NON transferrable warranty. After a few weeks he sent me a quote for 14k and told me the owner said he would not uphold the warranty but that he would fix the cracks at cost. I told him I thought this was totally unacceptable. He said there was nothing more he could do. I cannot afford 14k to fix the pool nor should I have to. Now cracks have gotten a lot worse. Every crack is protruding calcium into the pool. I am filling the pool twice a week. I had 2 pool repair company owners come look at the pool in which both agreed that my pool is showing signs of pool cancer or ARS.. in which pool companies that were installing pools in 2020 could not get proper materials and were cutting corners. I strongly feel that any pool, installed correctly and using proper materials, should last more than 3 years. I am respectfully pleading with Pool-Ology to please step up and do the right thing and repair my pool correctly. If I was the original homeowner I dont feel this would even be a discussion but since I bought the home a year later after pool was installed I am suffering the consequences. I bought a home with a Maximus/Pool-ology pool, unbeknownst to me that less than 3 years later I would be facing this issue and I dont think its fair to me and my family that we fall victim to a non-transferable clause in an agreement we knew nothing about.
