Invoice No: INV-******** Date August 19, 2022 The amount of funds not returned is $19,320.35 The business was to provide me a fair market quote for new roof. The company owner was misguiding, lying and cheating me and the insurance company. The owner of the company ******* promised he would cover my deductible and if any other employee with his company offered this he said he would fire. Once my insurance check was endorsed to him due to me not understanding that I could deposit the funds into my personal account, afraid to commingle the insurance check. I was told by ******* that he would not be able to cover all of my deductible. I asked why and he mentioned that he was looking at someone elses claim when he told me that. But, he would get the number as low as possible by sending additional supplements to the insurance company. He later mentioned he could provide receipts from other companies he owns or partners. I became afraid and concerned as I explained this to my wife. I didnt want to seem spooked at his implications but, just sent a text asking about the amount because he never said how much which was the following day of him receiving the check. I wanted to research more and learned of the issues with him paying my deductible, the supplements being added what it actually meant. When asked about my check being return he made mention of the contract that was signed but not with my full understanding. The authorization to communicate was for the insurance company only. I alerted him that it says I completed it but I could only see half of the document. Via text his response was "you've done well". No approvals for work, or materials, nor a date set. He never step foot on my property. He failed to perform the basic requirements of his contract, so I sent certified letter stating the cancellation. He threaten me with liens and pre-foreclosure as he has done with 64 other people in DFW area. He is trying to get homeowners to commit fraud. Glad I stopping him.
