I purchased my home in December of 2021. One of the great things about it was that it had a new roof that was installed after the previous owners had hail damage. My realtor got everything set up with transferring over the warranty for it and we moved in. We noticed after a big rain storm that one of our downstairs windows were leaking, we were replacing the 20 year old windows anyways so no big deal. New windows installed still water coming in and also noticed separation of moulding in sections around the windows and ceiling. We had to start removing drywall which we then uncovered areas of water damage. After we had our water remediation company inspect and water test, we had multiple leaks coming from two roofline valleys leading down to this wall where flashing and tiles werent installed correctly. Also the room above it we are now demoing that because we were following signs of damage as well. The previous owner had hail damage to this section of the house and Im not sure if they were the company who repaired everything (if so this is even worse because there are stucco sections that have holes in spots) or just the roof. I have called, tried emailing which sends back an error. I have had to pay now close to $12,000 so far in fixing this mess when it all should be under warranty, but either they are now not in business anymore or I dont know what the reason is I cant get in touch with them. I would like for them to take care of all of these repairs but Im not sure I trust their work after this entire disaster. I would like some sort of compensation because this should all be under warranty still.
