    On January 24th, I went to Riata **** looking to purchase a vehicle. I went in with a pre approval through my bank and with the expectation and belief the dealership had integrity and honesty with their business and clientele. I was completely deceived by the finance department. They did not show honesty, integrity and a proper representation of what their business is. I believe that as a young female I was an easy target to take advantage of and meet their financial agenda. I was extremely deceived into running my credit through them as they promised they could get me a better interest rate than my bank could. After much hesitation on my part and various false persuasive methods and lies on their part, I agreed to do so. They were not able to do so and told me all the reasons why, all of which was information I gave from the start for them to know there was no need to go through them as I would not be able to get a lower interest rate. They knew from the start they would not able to do so and they did it anyway through an unnecessary amount of institutions and TRASHED my credit. The finance department also went against my word on the extended warranty. I let them know I did not want the extended warranty (terms of warranty was also misleading) and they would not let me remove it from the contract. The amount with the warranty was at max ******** of my loan therefore increasing my interest rate. I made this known and they still wanted to meet their business agenda and did not want to remove it by making many excuses. The finance department lied to my loan officers and went behind my back multiple times in requesting a bigger check from my bank for the warranty without my consent, after I let them know multiple times I was not wanting the warranty. During all of this, days after telling the dealership I would be going with my bank, they continued to run my credit, this was with them knowing they would be receiving a check from my bank and when.     Horrible experience. They WILL try to cheat you.You cannot trust anything they tell you. Whether you are buying or selling your car, avoid Riata **** at all costs!Riata **** contacted me and made a sight unseen offer for a car I was selling. The offer was a little low, so I asked if they could increase their offer at all. I explained that I was selling the car to cover medical expenses, that I didnt have the time or luxury for games.The salesman then told me that if the car is as described, he might be able to get me more, but his manager would have to see it in person. Riata **** is 30+ miles away from where I live. I told them that I would need to take off work to bring it to them. I expressed concern at the idea of adding additional miles to the odometer (it has really low miles and is advertised with specific mileage). I repeatedly stated that I did not want to waste my time with a convoluted sale. He assured me it would be simple and straightforward.When I took the car to the dealership, the manager and multiple other employees complimented the car up and down and acted like they were amazed by the condition. At that point they claimed the best way for them to get the highest price for me was to put the car up on dealer auction. Dont worry, it will take an hour or less. But we need to take it in the garage and inspect it. I should have asked more questions. They made it sound like in an hour they would be able to tell me how much more than the sight unseen price they would be able to give me. Not so.After waiting an hour, the salesman came back and told me the car was up on auction and I could leave. He promised to call me within an hour with a new price. I never heard from him again. For two days I tried to contact him via phone, email and text. He ghosted me. He did pocket dial me once by mistake though.I then called the dealership to find out what was happening. Conveniently, everyone involved with the car was out that day. The new person checked the auction (I didnt even know they were still trying to auction the car), and told me the most they could give me was $6000 LESS than their sight unseen offer.The sight unseen offer was never real. I cant say for certain what their strategy was, but it seems this was all just a ploy to try to auction my vehicle and take a percentage of the sale. They tried to exploit my situation, not caring that Im selling to cover medical expenses, that I had to take off work, or that I had to drive 75 miles round trip. 3 hours of time wasted thanks to their shameless bait-and-switch deception. Do not do business with them!
