            American Home Shield contracted Quantum Mechanical to fix my 5 Ton AC unit that was not coming on. I made the mistake of mentioning there had been a thunder storm in the area the day our AC quit. The tech checked various things and then came to the conclusion we had a power surge and it ruined the Thermostat and Condenser Unit outside of our house and would cost $4500 to replace. Since he had reported it was a power surge, American Home Shield would not cover anything. I asked for a 2nd opinion from another company.The 2nd AC repair company checked things out and replaced the faulty Thermostat. Everything then started working..... So Quantum Mechanical was wanting me to replace items that had no problems!!!....for thousands of dollars!!!
