I called this company about getting a part for which I had another company that was going to do the repair. They said they had the part & gave me a price, but then proceeded to question me about my lawnmower. They then convinced me to take it to them, telling me they could fix all the repairs that it needed, and that all I would have to pay would be $40, then they would give me a list of repairs & the cost on that, & if I decided the cost for repairs was going to be too much, then I could apply the $40 towards a new lawnmower. I took my lawnmower to them & paid the $40, & they later called me that very evening & gave me a list & cost of repairs over the phone. I told them that the lawnmower was very sentimental to me & I think I just want to get the repairs done as they said they would do if I decided I still want to get it fixed. But after I told them my option of just fixing the problems for which they gave me a list & cost, they told me they would not warrant any of the work. I questioned their business ethics, but let them know I wanted it fixed regardless. They then refused, telling me that if I wanted it fixed they would sell me the parts but that’s it. So you see they basically robbed me of $40 & gave me no option for the repair after saying I had that option. I chose that option like what we had agreed, but they refused the option they said they were giving me. I feel that this should be considered a crime & not a civil matter, but the police say it is not considered a crime when a business takes advantage of you like that. I’m here at least to warn others to not believe anything this company tells you. They don’t want to do repairs, but instead just want to sell you new equipment.

Mr. C*** was given a list of parts that could be ordered for a lawnmower that was over 29 years old. The mower had many issues and some of the parts like the back tires were no longer available. We charge a $40 diagnostic fee on all mowers when they are brought in, and this is a standard in our industry. As it is time and labor for a mechanic to check it out. No one in this industry works for free!!! Mr. C*** never said to repair the mower as he was more concerned about a warranty. We made it perfectly clear that there would be no warranty, and no manufacture gives warranty on parts. The repair on the mower would be more than $525.00 as some of the parts without the tires would be $331.00 plus the labor of $195.00. We gave him same day service! He then proceeded on this warranty and our company policy and that he wanted to see it writing of which we have no said policy! We gave him the option that if he wanted a warranty to buy a new mower that has a 5 yr warranty. The mower was in such bad shape for someone claiming it had sentimental value. When he brought in the mower, it was so filthy and full of dirt that you couldn't even tell it was a green mower. We had to wash it with a water power pressure to get all the dirt off. He said he was going to sue us for no warranty. At this point we stopped the conversation, and we loaded his mower and he was asked to leave. He called the police, filed a report and he left. After this he came back and sat in his truck for over 3 hours blocking the front of our store. We kindly asked him to leave since he had threatened legal course. He refused to leave and sat there. We have many customers with trailers that it was hard to back up because he was in the way. We called the police and had him escorted off the property. We were nice to the man, gave him the best option to buy a new mower with a 5 year warranty and he refused. The police even told him to buy a new mower. We did everything to accomodate him, but you couldn't make him understand. So good luck!

Everything this guy says is a flat out lie. They assured me before I even brought it there, that they had the parts I knew of that it would need & said they could fix it. They said they would check it out for $40 to see what other parts it may need & give me a list of prices in which they did. The amount totaled to more than $400. They obviously just figured I would opt for a new lawnmower right off the bat, but they did not like the fact that I chose to have it fixed. They just wanted to sell me a new lawnmower & not bother with the repairs. Their just lazy people that don’t want to do any type of labor. Oh & about their warranty policy. I never heard of a company that didn’t provide the same warranty on workmanship just because the equipment you repaired was older & not newer. Either you warranty your workmanship or you don’t. I am the former owner of an air condition business, & I never refused to warranty my work just because my customer’s equipment was old. I was very successful in my business; though I am retired now, I never had such bad policy as that. So, yes I questioned him about their warranty policy, but I never threatened to sue them over that. In fact I even told them that I don’t care if you won’t warranty it, I want it fixed anyway. They said “we can sell you the parts & you can fix it yourself, because were not going to do it - it’s too old”. So the fact that they said they could & would repair it if I chose to, turned out to be a complete lie. The only reason I brought the lawn mower to them was just due to the fact the cable for the self propelled drive broke when I was mowing the lawn the day before, so it wasn’t like it was not fixable; everything else worked fine on it. I just didn’t feel it was right for them to keep my $40 after assuring me they could fix it if I chose, because now I’m out the $40 & didn’t get my lawnmower fixed like I wanted. Again, everything this guy said is a complete lie, & the lord will judge him when he comes before the gates of heaven.
