Since December we have been having issues with the ac unit. They have sent ****** over to come check the problem but say nothing is wrong with the unit. While installing hobos ****** employee walked into the room and noticed how hot it was and made a comment. Our light bill has been over 300 every month when they told us it wouldnt be no more than 150. After the hobos temperature have been 77 while unit is set at 71. The house wont cool down till about 2 in the morning. Then the next day just continues the same thing. We have reported it and taken pictures once again and hogan homes and ****** have refused to do anything about the situation. Hogan homes and ****** have been throwing the blame to each other. Both hogan homes and ****** say that the temp at 77 is normal and the unit has a low flow coming out of the vents. Hogan homes and ****** refuse to send records of the hobos that they conducted.

After a recent failed hydrostatic test we had a plumber out to our property several times to identify the location and cause of the leak. He now needs to tunnel under the home to repair the leak, and we will have to pay over $16,000 to repair the plumbing on a 2 year old home. The plumber - one of the top rated in Corpus - stated that by his examination, the leak has been there since we moved in based on the severity - and said that it was likely a leak caused by the foundation pour or the total construction. I knew when reaching out to Hogan Homes that I was (literally just 2 months) outside of my warranty, but I really thought they'd find some way to assist since it was a problem originating from the initial construction. Moreover, I figured HH wouldn't want to have a reputation for building homes that require 5-figure repairs after only two years. But apparently I was wrong. They said because it passed its inspection (which didn't examine plumbing under the house) that they wouldn't help. They also claimed it could have been from the recent drought or the big freeze of early 2021. That's nonsense, and the plumber said that it was a severe enough leak that it had to have originated from the build.I come away from this experience feeling like I was sold a poorly constructed house, that Hogan knows they're selling poorly built houses. I feel taken advantage of and scammed. I truly don't know how we'll pay for this fix, this is financially devastating and they don't care at all. This would be pennies to them and they could back up their claims of building great houses - but they refuse to assist in any manner. My biggest suggestion is - if you're going to buy a hogan home - order a hydrostatic test before closing. The plumber said this is a common issue on these homes - he suspects they aren't testing the plumbing after the completion of construction. The hydrostatic test will tell you if there's a leak somewhere in the plumbing.
