The Mr. ******************** I am talking about pulled exactly the same scam the guy from ***** S review relayed. I would like to contact him, if it is the same individual, about a lawsuit pending in *********.

CONSUMER BEWARE!!! We met with the owner who came out to our property to give an estimate on an array of work that we wanted to do on our home. He stated that he requires 75% of the estimate upfront, prior to any work being started. We agreed to two different contracts and then we're told that a $2500 fee would be required for a consultation and design fee for a bathroom remodel, separate from the two contracts that we agreed to do. During our conversation, the owner stated that he wanted to be transparent and have an open line of communication throughout the course of our various projects. We also discussed a third contract for interior painting when everything went downhill. The owner had increased the amount of the third contract and did not communicate openly on the phone, rather via text. The conversation took place via text until I picked up the phone to call him directly. I did not feel carrying a conversation over a contract entailing thousands of dollars should be carried out over text messaging. I advised the owner that I wanted a full refund of the monies and felt his method of communication was inappropriate and unprofessional. After giving BUTLER Contracting over 13K of our hard earned monies, the owner stated that I would be receiving a call from the director of operations on Monday morning to have our refund processed. I had to self-initiate calls to her and she stated she was trying to rectify the situation with the credit card company. At no time did she state that any of our monies would be kept. We were later informed that they would be keeping $3,600 without ordering any materials/products, or doing any construction services. The owner would not speak with us and had his director of opertions be the point of contact. Again, CONSUMER BEWARE of this company and the amount of monies they require before anything is DONE....
