      I asked them how to cancel my service and they said write and mail a letter with my signature. I did I live less than 10 minutes so I know they received my letter weeks ago. I got charged $60 more dollars and they are about to charge another 27 dollars. Do not sign up for Planet Fitness as it is only about the money for them and ignoring you when you want to leave them. Also they aren't secured as mask men came in with guns and they didn't have a plan in place for any security measures. Plus it may say judgment free but I felt judged everytime especially with one lady staring constantly while I was working out and the staff didn't do anything.

      I canceled my membership back in December of 2023 paid the $50 fee and all, they still continued to take money from my account every month. I went to my bank to stop payment on their transaction, which then made them escalate to taking $40 dollars out of my account. This place will rob you blind, they don't care about keeping people safe just how to get more out of their canceled members.

      PF is the worst gym in **********, **. Bad manager and owner. They do not fix or grease or maintain anything here at all. So many broken machines, you cannot use so much here. Then they said they were moving, but never did, we lost a week of workouts, they never called, emailed or informed us, nothing in our spam, they lied to us. The manager here is a liar and the worst manager of a gym ever. They owe us for a week that they said they were closed. No, I do not want the refund in tootsie rolls! No sign on the new location either. They are messed up here. Now I have to complain with my credit card company to get a refund. Bad employees. Dirty gym. ******* place, the manager is on her cellphone all over the gym, yet the signs say no cellphones only in lobby. She is the worst example of a manager for the customers here. They allow these groups of people to do group training, but the signs say no personal training, although a group of 6-8 people all huddled and goofing off. They do not enforce any of their rules here. People on cellphones all over the place. Some with flip flops. So many old people who talk and do not move from machines. So many on their cellphones, so many. So many do not break down weights. Almost all ellipticals and bikes are broken at this gym. So much says broken on it. Mediocrity is the norm at this gym. The worst gym in the county.

      I am writing to submit a formal complaint and review about the cancellation policy enforced by Planet Fitness. My experience with their service has been marred by the difficulties and lack of transparency surrounding the process of terminating my membership.I have been a member since September 20, 2021, holding an active PF Black Card membership. However, upon deciding to cancel my membership, two months after getting it, I was confronted with a convoluted and unnecessarily complicated process that seems designed to deter members from successfully cancelling their services.Despite following their stated procedure, I encountered multiple hurdles, including unclear instructions, an insistence on in-person visits despite digital alternatives, and a lack of prompt communication from their customer service department. Furthermore, the policy that requires a 30-day notice prior to cancellation is burdensome and feels archaic in today's digital age where most services can be cancelled instantly online.The lack of a straightforward online cancellation option is not only inconvenient but also not consumer-friendly. It is my belief that a business should make the cancellation process as simple as the signup process, which is not the case with Planet Fitness. This has led to unnecessary delays and continued billing cycles, which is unacceptable from a customer service perspective.The obstacles presented by Planet Fitness's cancellation policy indicate a systemic issue that needs to be addressed to ensure fair treatment of customers. I urge the Better Business Bureau to look into this matter, as I believe that many other members might be facing similar challenges without a platform to voice their concerns.

      If I could give this review no stars, I would. I started my member ship in 2020. July of 2021 I found out I was pregnant. I had this membership only really for the tanning and massage beds so as soon as I found out I was pregnant, I requested to cancel my member ship. I went into location 2 times requesting to cancel as they told me I should when I started. both times I was told I needed to cancel with online. I went to the website under the contact us tab several times sending emails and never heard back. Also called several times and tried once going to a new location for help but they couldn't. 2 years later and they finally canceled but refuse to give my money back from the month after I last used it because I can't "prove" I've tried to cancel and was also told it wasn't in their "budget" to refund me back that far. I decided to make a ****** review. Got a respond back from the owner asking I email them, I did and didnt get a response. This gyms a joke. Now I'm out $600 after trying to handle this in several ways getting the run around and I wouldnt recommend this gym to anyone..

      I broke my wrist so I couldn't work out. When I came in they said my auto pay didn't collect so I had to pay $46. I did and they said I had to pay more now. When I tried to talk to the gym they were rude and made it clear they didn't care if I cancelled. Terrible corporation.

      They refuse to cancel my membership. My contract expired years ago, I have called emailed and written the club directly and they still charge my account every month when I haven't gone since May and wrote them according to their own policy in june
