      This complaint is regarding a construction project at ***********************************************************************. March 2021 our approximately 300 square foot detached garage was destroyed by fire. Our insurance company CSAA recommended BMS CAT to rebuild it. First construction was going to start 10/21, but on the designated day no one showed up. BMS CAT had subcontracted the work and the subcontractor bailed. Finally work started 02/22. The BMS CAT project manager was incompetent, we ended up getting the garage door, exterior doors, and other items ordered and paid for. Construction was completed in 07/22 but not signed off by the ********************* because the permits and paperwork either hadn't been updated or were missing. The original project manager got fired, the replacement project manager talked a great game but couldn't get anything done, he got fired. BMS CAT dropped the ball and the permits expired. In April/May 2023 BMS CAT told me they were getting everything wrapped up in the next few weeks and asked for payment of the deductible, I told them I'd pay when the project had final signoff. Shortly after that I sold the property, fully disclosing to the buyer that the permit wasn't final.07/23, one year after construction was completed, BMS went to get the permits re-instated but didn't bother to pay the fees so everything sat there for another month until I started asking questions. 11/23 a new project manager (the 3rd!) was making forward progress and it was looking like it might finally get signed off by the city. Then things went quiet, we started asking questions and found the project manager is no longer working at BMS CAT. Now a 4th project manager has to be assigned and come up to speed on the project. 2 years and 9 months since the fire, and a year and a half since construction was complete this still isn't signed off. This has taken up hours of my time just trying to get BMS CAT to do the job they contracted to do.

      After a pipe burst in our home, 50% of our home was gutted due to Asbestosdown to the studs. Our first contractors werent approved by the insurance company and BMS Cat was recommended to us. They responded same day, came out the next, got approval from insurance company within a week and started one week later. ******** made this happen. Definitely request her. I worked directly with ******** and ****, They were absolute wonderful to work with. **** as the Project manager went over and beyond to make sure we were pleased during every step of the process. The work went so smooth and the contractors responded well to ****! He came out regularly to see how things were going and constantly checked in. I was actually kind of sad to see the work end but definitely happy to gave our home back. I give BMS Cat 5 stars and will be working with them in the future. Thank you ******** and ******* a wonderful experience rebuilding our home.
