The run-around is exhausting, and the silence is deafening.I have been a customer for several years, and CONSISTENTLY for several years running they have failed to notify me that my contract is expiring. What happens is that I get bumped off my "plan" and into the wasteland of whatever rate they feel like charging me - PLUS a monthly fee on top of the energy rate. Criminal. They are hiding behind the "regulatory Requirement" nonsense, and are devoid of customer service. this bull about not being able to offer the rate to existing customers is a total ruse. They don't care about treating existing customers well, they only care about grabbing new customers.Run Run Run away, because once you give them your money, you will be in their system forever. There is an impenetrable wall to any kind of responsible customer service at a higher level than the single "manager" that I keep encountering. She says "I understand" about 50 times, but she refuses to do anything about my requests. After calling about 5 different numbers, I end up with the same dead end customer service manager that cannot solve my problem. It must be some sort of power trip. I keep asking for call back from headquarters, someone that can speak to the policies, someone that can see to it that I am expunged from their database, but I keep getting a complete run-around.Is it too hard to ask that I am expunged from their system?Review from Joelisa R

I cannot even get them to answer any of the phone numbers listed for this business. It either just plays a busy tone and hangs up or I get a ******* notice that the humber cannot be completed as dialed. They need to provide the correct phone number. When I go online to their website they are currently offering a better price on electricity than what we currently pay, but I can't sign up because they don't have a phone number I can reach them with.Review from Ben S

We are small business always looking for savings and was promised fixed lower rates. However, the 1st cycle of the 1st 3 months we have paid more then the entire previous year. We are very disappointed in the supposed savings. This is the number 1 reason why we dont like to change to different vendors because of their dishonesty.We highly recommend NOT using this service because you will pay more then in the past.We are very disappointed and distressed about this matter.Now we are waiting for a cancellation penalty amount to pay. We shall see how this how goes, but we have a bad feeling that we will need to involve our corporate attorneys.Tired of BS vendorsReview from STEVE S

****** Very bad supplier. **************** no help!! fixed rates are very high can get lower. Have a cancellation fee for even if cancel after 2 months. On website tell you no late fee if cancel in 90 days they don't hold to that they still charge late fee after 3 days. I cancelled and will never use again rip off supplier stay away from........ STAY AWAY FROM THIS SUPPLIER VERY DISHONEST NOT HOLD TO WEBSITE 90 NO CANCELLATION FEES!!!!!!!!! ONLY REASON LEAVE STAR HAVE TOO!!!!!Review from Jason S

I signed up with Santanna Energy Services to supply my natural gas in October 2022. It was a 12-month contract with no cancellation fee. I have been monitoring the therm cost for ********* (my previous supplier) monthly. While Santanna was initially cheaper than Nicor, the cost per therm at Nicor is now less than what I contracted with Santanna. As such, I called Santanna to see about moving to a new plan that was more price competitive than Nicor. I was told by the customer service representative, who was extremely terse, that I was not eligible to make a change. I told him if that was the case, I would like to terminate my contract. Even though this is supposedly an employee-owned company, he didn't give a c*** about the fact that I was cancelling my account with them and that they would be losing a customer (and revenue). Not a great business practice in my opinion.I was also told it would take 1 to 2 billing cycles for my gas gas supplier to be changed back to Nicor. When i questioned why it takes such a long time, I was told that it's because ***** has to read the meter. When I told him that they no longer "read" the meter, the meter is an IoT device and they get data from the meter all off the time, and could pull the meter information anytime they want. This is when the representative got really snotty with me and told me that this is what ***** told them to say and he hung up on me. Interestingly, when I called Nicor, they basically told me this is not true, that it's Santanna that causes the delay in change in supplier.If I could give them zero stars as a rating I would. My advice is stay as far away from this company as possible.Review from Tyler L

Santanna is a predatory provider that will offer a fantastic fixed rate only to slap you with obscene rates (300% over market rate) once the contract expires, hoping that you have budget billing set-up and aren't scrutinizing your monthly bills until it's too late.They know the law is on their side and have no qualms about bilking their customers out of thousands of dollars.Avoid at all costs.Review from SHIRLEY B.

I chose Santanna because it had a great 1 year price on electricity. Now a year later, the contract runs out, and they are charging me almost TRIPLE to going rate. I will never choose Santanna again, and I will recommend others stay away from them as well. My **** says:In order for you to save money off of your utility's supply charges, a supplier must offer you a price lower than Toledo ******** price of **** cents per KWH for the same usage that appears on the ****.Billing Information for Santanna Energy Services Generation Kwh @ $0.18071 18 cents a Kwh when I could be paying **** cents?! My current **** is more than twice as high as it's ever been.And then to further spit in the customer's face:Monthly Charge **** With tactics like this I hope this company doesn't last much longer. Again I will never be choosing Santanna, and I will be pro-active in speaking against this price gouging company.
