They charged you a late penalty fee in addition to a ***** final notice letter they are charging you twice for the same thing.. It's the only energy company in my area so they do whatever they want to do to you with out any consequencesGreen Mountain Energy Response

This is the worst energy company I have worked with. I was very disstasified with their service and billing. I thought it would be much cheaper but their prices are too high. I am a disable veteran and they did not give any type of waiver for the deposit and even canceling my service with them. The cancelation fee was $300 and they said, I signed up for a 60 month service????? I didnt think so....but anyway...... Please do trust what they are giving you over the phone, please read the fine print. Please go to someone else who will treat you like a customer. Oh, also there is a long wait time on the phone. The reps are a little rude at times when asking many questions about your bill. Again, go to another company.....ZERO Stars........Green Mountain Energy Response

If I could put a negative star rate, I would do a -5 stars. This company I was supposed to get services and never had services with them before ever since I lived in *********** the last 10 years. I dropped a deposit and was reassured services and never received services. I was advised I had a bill from back in 2014 (which was a fraud service) somebody had stole my wallet with my social and ID in it back in ************** and used my information to open an account with them. They refused to provide me service due to a $40 balance. I told them this was taken care of since 2014 and that the agent I spoke with was assuring that I HAD this taken care of since THAT IS WHY they turned off the services. Now it's 2023 about to be **** and I have this balance I was under the impression to be taken care of. Than I also was advised my enrollment would be cancelled and that I would receive my $150 deposit back within **** business days. That was as of 12/08/2023 and it is now 12/26/23 and MY DEPOSIT is still being processed???? I don't understand how this company is still in business. They don't take ownership and they just rob people of their money. I hope the BBB takes our complaints into consideration because, this is ridiculous!Green Mountain Energy Response

We had a ****** bill this month. 2Br. Apt. We keep the Ac off until ****pm everyday on purpose cause we dont want a high bill. We wanted to see how honest Green Mountain is with their rates according to usage..hahaha.. I have people with 4Br houses that have lower energy ************ actually run their units.. Ridiculous!!. I pray that God has mercy on companies that take advantage of people. I would give a 0 star if i could.Review from Andrew M

I personally know quite a few ladies Within the customer service department they're making anywhere from $33 an hour to $65 an hour they have no compassion nor empathy for people struggling to pay their bills because they're so well off. Not just that but not exclusively but several of the women in the customer service department use people's personal information to Blackmail them, ******************************* was a high offender in this market and is now my soon-to-be ex-wife. But she would look feeling information up from my ex-girlfriend my family she would harass them about getting financial assistance which is a violation of her oath. She used it to Blackmail them exploit them for personal gain.Green Mountain Energy Response

My Ask [#1] was for Green Mountain to contact me and change from a Business account to a Residential Account. My home is in a residential neighborhood. I have no interest whatsoever in a Business account but was signed up for a Business account. Theaccount represents an error and I have called customer service previously on four separate occasions 16August // 23August // 24August //06September // 08September to rectify this circumstance. All conversations with customer service have been largely unsuccessful.My Ask [#2] was for Green Mountain to offer relief from the exorbitant costs. My account has been billed at the Business rate of more than $2,412.00 in a short 3-month period. The energy charges assessed are well-beyond what seems customary for a Residential account, which has created enormous economic hardship. All amenable solutions are welcomed; none have been offered. 1-star rating only because ZERO stars is not an option.Review from Serge P

Decided to give this company a chance and trusted with the plan they picked for me while I have solar panels. Only to find out that 1.5 years later that the company NEVER included buy back from me and kept the profits for themselves. After I find out this issue, decided to talk to customer service and see what other options to resolve this issue. There supervisor "****: ********", it is your issue and company is not resolving anything. Not even any help with this issue or any other plan that might help me. Company is greedy and would not recommend doing business with them, they have no moral backbone! Ive lost almost 1600$ in this sham and to find out if I want to switch to different plan I have to pay $200 on top of it for early termination costs. Can you believe it when I tell you that this is complete outer nonsense and there management dont care about there customers. I told them that if this continues I would have to walk away from them. This company is horrible. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. The company lied about my payment. I was in a payment plan. I paid on due date. I have bank statement proving the company withdrew the payment yet lie and say they didnt get paid until the 24th. Yet, again a lie.. bank statement shows the day they withdrew funds. Horrible company. Wouldnt recommend anyone using them. Wish there were other options other than this horrible lying company!Review from Adam S

We used Greenmountain for our previous residencein ******* and upon moving asked to have the same plan, which they confirmed. Has not been switched for 7 months to this day, and now claim 400 dollars to cancel the plan and the plan is for 3 years. DONT contract with them or you will never get out with a proper resolution. Ive had green mountain for several years but most recent renewal came up with a ridiculously high kWh price. Ive called them several times to try to resolve and they disavow any knowledge of previous conversations and repeated talk in circles about price includes Oncor charges when Oncor charges are clearly separate line item charges and added to rates they are quoting. I honestly dont think the customer service people understand what they are saying. Very disappointed ina ********************** I used to recommend.Green Mountain Energy Response
