**** into office to pay off my loan to make sure everything was right. Over 2 weeks later I called to see where my pay off letter was. Spoke with ******* said they mailed it off the 6th day after pay off. Conveniently it probably got lost in the mail. SSFCU is notorious for this. Highly unprofessional. Will do my next loan through Navy FederalReview from Harold C

Visited location at ******************* to secure CD. Long time client doing 90% of banking transaction with this institution. After completing application for CD, asked representative to witness my signature on a government document I needed to submit. She checked with supervisor and declined to assist me. Very poor customer **********************Review from xiaolin r

1/22/2024 I submitted saving account and checking account on ******************************************************************** website. But they declined without contacting me. The reason they gave is they can't verify my identity. After I talked with their customer **********************, they said they can initiate a second review if I agree to submit all the documents they requested. So I uploaded all the government documents per their request. After that, I received a call from their customer **********************, saying that I would conduct a final review and need verifying some information with me. But there was no follow-up after that. So today I called them again. They said they still can verify my identity, so they declined my application again. I think this reason is not reasonable. I sent additional documents, including driver license, a photo of me holding my license, SSN and the pictures of front and back social security card, utility bill...most of them are government document. It was impossible to can't verify my identity. I even wondered if it was some kind of fraud, and with this material, it was easy for them to steal my identity.Security Service Federal Credit Union Response

Worst Bank and customer ********************** ever!!! I literally watch them scam me with overdraft fees. I mean I am on my account regularly and watch every purchase. I literally screenshot one day my transaction because this wasnt the first time they did it. I wait two days to check my account and they change dates of the same transactions and charged me an overdraft fee for every date they change. The fee was ridiculous. I was making deposits on it and suddenly they closed my account. I ************** out arrangements and the people were ridiculously rude and unprofessional. When I asked about customer **********************, I was told they when you in collections customer ********************** is only required to tell about your account and not treatment. This is ridiculous worst bank experience ever. They scam you out money through overdraft feesReview from Gaston F

This bank charged OD Fees even though you have money in your account. I have many complaints about the online customer experience they provide. online statements do not show the complete credit card transaction information. So if you see an unknown charge you do not see the phone number that is associated with the charge.. You have to wait until they provide you the monthly paper statement which is often too late to dispute the charge. They also are charging OD fees before transactions are settled often days before transactions are settled. Any type of authorization counts against your balance and you will get hit with overdraft fees even if the transactions are not actually settled. If that wasn't annoying enough as a customer you have no way of seeing this. when you look at your statements online it appears you have funds but you do not and they hit you with fees. I am tired of having to do mental math on a daily basis. Since I cannot trust what I see on my screen I will be changing banks. I think this is just taking making money of those who do not notice OD fees or don't bother calling in. I was much better services at BOA so moving back there.Review from Chella H

Security service is all about money now. On Oct 25th my family and I were going to rent a hotel room and use our card for incidentals. It was declined so I called the call plus service. Our account was over ****** in the hole. Because of fraudulent activity on my account I always put the money exact amount that it is or a little over so that the fraud doesnt happen again. It shouldnt have been. Because it was after hours we transferred money to cover it. On the 27th We were told that some customers that used cash app between Oct 3 through Oct 13 didnt have the money drawn out. I showed on my end it had been taken out. I called three times 1st rep told me it was cash apps fault and I need to talk to them because cash app waited two weeks to process these transactions. I called cash and spoke to two different managers. They were both said this was not true. Instant or no ****** than the next day. Re- called security service and was told to file a dispute. I said no because I made those transactions. Called cash app from another phone and security service again. On speaker the cash app rep again said to the security service rep they dont wait. I asked for a managers. He said the transactions never posted. However the website had continued to show we had and was in the positive the whole time. That is until the 19/20th when they, the bank actually applied the charges over time. So we are unable to meet our bills due to this mistake thats the banks fault. So I called again and said yeah file fraud charges. Now they say I cant because in the notes I admitted to making charges. They didnt warn anyone or tell anyone about the mistake and that they were going to take large amounts out. Its there error and they only gave back overdraft fees. Rightfully so. Having said that if they werent in the wrong why give fees back?Review from Robert B

Ive been with SSFCU for 9 years and still get treated like I dont belong there. Weve run into some hard times here and there and theres never any understanding from them. From overdraft fees to ATM fund holding making it impossible to do our work theres always an issue. Among high interest credit cards, loans and multiple accounts, i cant say Ive ever been super happy with SSFCU. Fee after fee after fee.Review from William W

Biggest scam of a bank. Would not recommend and or use them for any service. It's nothing but fee after fee and do not work with anyone on anything. It's there way or s**** off pretty much. So sad and pathetic how they are able to get away with so much robbery
