My boat was brought to them to get repairs done from a storm where the boat flooded and was banged up against a concrete shoreline. Dropped by boat off in March to get looked at by them. They returned an estimate to repair the boat including the gelcoat work which was then approved by my insurance company.4 months later after a long list of excuses they claimed by boat was ready to pick up. When I got there the boat was NOT ready and the detailing guy was working on the gelcoat work. He put a "sealer" on the boat and asked me to take the boat fishing as I had already planned it for the weekend. He said when I would have to then leave it with him for another day to get the work finished. I fished and returned the boat also describing issues that were not fixed in the original work order. The misters and bow light were still not working. I left the boat with him and came back 4 weeks later as they said it was ready to pick up.I find that the sealer was STILL on the boat which means the original gelcoat work was not done and now because it was left on it would take considerable amount of time to get it off of the paint. Gulf coast marine said leave it with them half a day and it would be good to go. Half a day later I come to get it and the detail guy is still working on it says it could possible take a week to get the paint back to the way it was!!! I had to leave to go home again without my boat (5hr drive). I get a call from ***** saying he wants $2,700 and that I asked them to "make my paint look new". No estimates were given, no calls, just ***** asking for money. I told him I am not paying for the mistakes that were made on my paint and they need to fix it. He was purposely being an A hole and about as unprofessional as a human can be. ***** said he would take pics of what was done and send them to me. The pics reveal that only a 1/4th of the boat was even touched! No response in 14 days
