Purchased my vehicle from Vandergriff roughly a month ago, and unbeknownst to me the car had completely dry rotted tires that were 6-8 years old, i attempted to discuss this issue with them as i transport my kids in this car, and had a tire go flat on the highway the other day, all they had to tell me was they were not responsible for the issue since i had driven the car off the lot and had 0 regard for me or my childrens safety. The car was completely miss represented upon sale due to inclement weather. Defintely do not recommend purchasing a car from somewhere that only cares about getting the sale and has 0 regard for the safety and well being of the customers they are selling toReview from Steve T

I received an online quote to sell my car to Vandergriff Hyundai. My vehicle had absolutely no mechanical issues and was running great prior to arriving to the dealership. The appraiser who assessed my vehicle test drove it and while he was driving it, all of a sudden the check engine light came on and the car started idling rough. I was in utter disbelief and furious. Basically, he caused damage to my engine while he was test driving it and would not take ownership of causing the issue. Instead, tried to find any excuse to blame it on the vehicle (ie. has vehicle recently been serviced, battery disconnected, etc,..). They claim I had cleared codes to hide issues. I gave them the opportunity to help me understand that even had codes been previously present (which would be due to problem), to explain to me how clearing codes would also fix the rough idling issue that wasn't there ever and definitely not there when I came to the dealership but is there after the test drive. Response was more non-sense excuses. I had the issue repaired after I visited the dealer. All due respect, the mechanic stated the part that had to be repaired may have been weak but aggressive driving would accelerate the part to fail. Unfortunately, I was so irate, I wanted to leave the dealership and didnt ask to speak to a manager. However, the General Manager sent me an email after my visit stating to share my experience with him and would reach out to me with further assistance. I shared my experience and still have not heard from him. Shame on Vandergriff for not taking accountability of causing damage to my car while in their possession and not offering anything to make it right. Be careful in any business dealings with Vandergriff Hyundai as this dealership certainly demonstrates they do not act with integrity.Review from Sharon P

Worst buying experience ever don't purchase here. Picked it up a week later said the noise was nothing to find out they Sold me a Hyundai Tucson 2022 with tons of issues. Bent wheel hub. Shocks and strut issue and wheel bearing. Don't see how this passed inspection to sell it. Wasn't fixed took it back waited 2 weeks still wheel bearings not fixed. Had it 2 days got stranded at work towed it won't reimburse me for the tow! Only had it a month and drove it 12 days total. Got the run around the whole time. Traded it in for something else felt I had no other choice at this point and Ripped me off **** dollars and wasted 2k on a down payment for the 1st car. Never again! Sales could care less its all about the sale not you! Reached out multiple times to the owner don't bother no reply or call backs. Don't buy here I regret ever going there!Review from Rachael S

Sad and terrible experience. My daughter has been to this dealership to purchase a car. She has been passed from one person to another each with a different story or offer. Numbers are all over the place. She finally settles and purchases the car. Vandergriff Hyundai in Arlington agreed to repair the bumper and scratches on the trunk. They sent her home with no loaner car because they claimed someone had wrecked the loaner car. The pre owned ****** said the car would be ready the next day. She came back to the dealership and is once again passed off to different people and the car is not ready and is told it usually takes 72 hours. They give her a loaner. (?) Then she returns again to pick up the car. They let her know they cannot find the car. They think a manager took it home or the body guy locked the keys up. We had ****** installed and she can see her car is 20 miles away from the dealership at this time. They have no answers. They offered another loaner car. The offered to deliver the car. More excuses and lies as she sits there an hour and a half away from home and still no car.Review from Tayla B

My experience with *********** was very horrible. **************** skills are terrible. They need to bring ************************* back because *********** ***** in my opinion. HORRIBLE. They put in a new transmission only for it to go out FOUR DAYS LATER. Asked for a manager and was told he was in a meeting. These people are just smoke and mirrors. HORRIBLE! They deserve ZERO stars.Review from WAYBURN G

I'm a slow learner. I've had two horrible experiences with this dealer. The first came in January 2022 when received a flashing check engine light with a slow engine response while in route to ******. We thought we were lucky when we took the first exit, we got to which was right down the street from the dealership. That is when my misery began. We were told that service was backed up and it would take about two weeks to get the car repaired. A month later we finally got it back, but it was not completely repaired. The "idle stop and go" system still didn't work. I visited with a guy that was supposed to oversee the service department and he verified it didn't work. He turned my issue over to the shop ******* who was supposed to contact me. This never happened. So, I decided to take it back this week to get it fixed. I was told that the battery on the car tested good, but they thought it would fix the problem and it would be warranted. Today I found out it's going to cost me $400.00 for the repair. Silly me. I love my car, but I hate the dealership.Review from Paige P

This business is a joke!. Took my 2020 Hyundai Elantra in and was told i needed a transmission flush, paid ****** and went to get my car 4 hours later for my car to be messed up even more. Was then told my transmission is slipping (a known recall issue) and my check engine light on as well. My service advisor has not communicated with me and is very nonchalant. Spoke with the service manager who somewhat helped me. Theyve had my car a month and the part was just ordered last week. Im told it will be another two weeks estimated, theyve given me h*** with a loaner, my mom was supposed to pick it up as i was out of town in her car- she gave them her iNs and dl and was told one was ready. She wasted money on a Lyft to be denied. This place has inconvenienced me to the lowest level ever and are very nonchalant. Its like no one is on the same page and they honestly dont care. Im waiting on a refund check which last Wednesday i was told by Friday and now, its something else. The way this place is selling cars with a lot of recall issues has to be illegal. Avoid this place!. Im looking into further legal action myself.Review from Victoria H

This has been the worst car buying experience of my life . I bought from the Carrollton location a 2022 car because they messed my old Hyundai up after doing the recall. I could write a book on Hyundais Negligence And lack of care for customers but I just think I am done with the company and want to take legal action.Review from Wendy D

DO NOT BUY A USED CAR HERE. We purchased a 2019 Hyundai here at the end of September. The engine light came on within 7 weeks of purchase. Had to pay $200 to get it towed to another dealership because when we called here they told us they are months out. We had it towed to the Hyundai in ********. The list of things that need to be done to this car is ridiculous. The ******** dealership told ** they never would have sold us a car in this condition. They updated the software and then told us that the brakes need to be replaced and the filters were filthy. They also gave us videos as back up. I left a detailed message for the manager on 11.21.22, and I still have not heard back. Thank you for selling me a car with BAD BREAKS THAT MY 16 YEAR OLD SON HAS BEEN DRIVING. Unbelievable. So, now I have to not only pay for the towing but also another $600 for new brakes and filters. I will never buy from here ever again.
