I manage a rental property that got rats and on January 3, 2023 hired Cen-tex to take care of them. After I was told "all work completed", I gave in to their aggressive daily invoice reminders and paid the over $600 bill. A few weeks later, the renters let me know that they never came back to finish the job. I had thought everything was resolved, but was very wrong. After the renters tried to contact Cen-tex ***** times with no response, they got me involved. I called and texted multiple times. On the rare occasion when someone would respond to schedule follow up appointments, there were at LEAST five appointments made that they no-showed without notice or apology.I was not informed of problems with the garage door or vent until a MONTH after the initial inspection. In the time between being told all work is completed and everything actually being sealed up, the rats caused more damage, creating additional repair costs that could have been prevented. The renters made special arrangements to be home from work for appointments that were missed. I spent a significant amount of time following up on phone calls and texts that were never returned.As far as Im aware, the traps that Cen-tex set have been completely ineffective and the only success weve had so far is with the traps the renters set themselves. Additionally, I called another company for a second opinion and they said the foam used to seal up the weep holes could be chewed through by the rats and that it may block moisture from escaping which can cause cracks in the house. In addition to the damage they've caused, rats have the potential to carry disease, so this is also a health and safety issue.Least of my worries is the material used was applied haphazardly, and is ugly. Now there is cosmetic work needed on the exterior as well.The work that was outlined in the original contract has been paid for but still not completed and Cen-text has now ignored my calls and texts for a week straight
