              I guess you should always check BBB before you buy something. I bought not 1 but 2 in wall ACs from PC ******* and ***. I had 2 break in 4 years. This first one luckily broke so fast it was covered under their absurd one year warranty. The second miraculously last 3 seasons of light usage and the motor went. $1,500 in wall unit. I will never ever ever purchase a Friedrich AC ever again. And no one I know will ever buy one.

              I bought 2 wallmaster air conditioners 5 years ago. I only used them one month the first year because I kept getting ones where the box was open. I had a 5 year warranty on both & now the warranty lies have expired. The compressors have gone out. I paid $1,500 each plus paid an additional $90 each for additional warranties. They are a piece of garbage! I now have to replace them. I will never buy Friedrich air conditioners ever again.

              Friedrich doesnt uphold their warrantee if you paid cash, even if you have a warrantee card

              I have portable ac that is less than year old and can’t connect to wifi. I emailed twice in the course of couple of months back and didn’t receive the response. I called and was told after an hour troubleshooting to call Verizon to open the port? Really? After telling the so called customer support tech that verizon doesn’t provide my router. He still insisted and it didn’t feel right so I asked for his supervisor who could know any better. I hang up and called Verizon to find out that Friedrich customer support is untrained and have no clue what they doing. Port opening ? By verizon? Their customer support doesn’t even take the serial number of the device you are calling about. They wouldn’t check if there is recall or running manufacturing defect. Your app Friedrich go is either bad or my wifi module in the ac. No help from company that I tried contacting for the oast year and the device warranty will be expiring soon.

              ******** is full undocumented workers who have no idea what they are doing. They gave us the biggest run around on a AC we bought for the business. There so called " Manager" Gave me nothing but attitude and did not find a solution in finding our AC which the technician they referred us to "lost" They need to be shut DOWN Scamming people for their money on a poor quality product. That AC LASTED 1 year right before warranty was over ., how convinient

              I purchased a unit with a $20 rebate and their rebate form page and customer service line is optimized not to talk to anyone, or process any rebates. The online application asks you for a photo of the *** to process the rebate and it can not figure anything out from a photo of the ***. It asks the user for a serial number and it returns an error saying the serial number is not valid. It really looks like they wanted to make this rebate impossible to get. If you call the 800 number, there is no one to answer the calls after waiting on hold forever. If you prefer a call-back, the system will call you back and hang-up on you. The whole thing is a terrible experience, buy another well-known brand instead after checking their BBB ratings.

              This is the worst company to deal with! I purchased a Uni-Fit Through the Wall air conditioner for over $1,000. The unit suddenly stopped working a little over a year. The Wi-Fi never worked and the remote control doesn't work unless you are standing right in from of the air conditioner. I contacted Friedrich and they told me it was over a year so they couldn't help me because the warranty was only a year. They could have made an exception since it was only a couple of months over the warranty and I only used it in the summer. I spent hours on hold trying to reach Customer service and they refused to listen to my complaint. They kept interrupting me and telling me they were sorry but they couldn't do anything. They told me to look at their website to find a repair service but it would be at my cost. There were only a few repair services listed and only 1 was willing to come out and look at the machine. Due to an illness I had to put the repair on hold. I can only put a certain size air conditioner in my wall and I needed a powerful unit. This is the only unit that will cool off my condo, WHEN IT IS WORKING. Long story short, I recently found someone and paid $530 to have the control kit replaced, which is basically the brains of the AC. I called Friedrich back and explained that this should not have happened in such a young unit and even the repairman said that the unit looked brand new and this shouldn't have happened. I asked for a Manager and he told me that he couldn't do anything. They weren't even willing to meet me half way. I am so upset with this Company and I will NEVER use them again and I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING THEM TO SOMEONE ELSE. It's sad how Friedrich used to be a trusted name and they aren't any more. ZERO stars!

              Impossible company to communicate with. I do not believe they have their consumer customers best interest in kind. Their focus is on their business side. Of that I now have no doubt. I have tried to get friedrich WiFi to work for 4 years. It worked the first two years with FriedrichLink albeit unreliable. Since they switched to FriedrichConnect it has been dead. I paid $1,200 for a WiFi unit that doesn’t work. Then, like an idiot I thought, I’ll buy the one with the built in. I can’t imagine they would sell me an air conditioner that doesn’t connect now while still billing it as WiFi capable, yep, they did. Gave my old one to my mom and installed this new one and still doesn’t connect. Customer service refused to listen to my complaint. The girl continually interrupted me and told me she knew it didn’t work and that she could do nothing about it. I think this is a tactic. They anticipate these complaints and ride them out until the complainant just goes away. Sickening.
