We originally started an unsuccessful lending experience with a different company. I contacted an acquaintance of ours to inform them of the trouble we were having when she told us she should be able to get it done. After weeks of some of the most agonizing and extreme request for information, we were told our closing had been delayed another week. My wife and I had already vacated our home and were living in another state in a hotel. When we were finally ready to close, we were contacted that day to let me know only part of our loan was ready. When were were asked why, the lender said they noticed a deposit into my account from 10 days prior that appeared to be some kind of loan or promissory note from my employer that indicated the deposit might be a debt obligation. After explaining numerous times it was only an advance against my yearly bonus, obtaining a letter from the President of my company confirming the same and already signing papers for the partial loan, I was told we could not close. I was give. One solution and that was to send the money back to my employer. My employer had already paid the taxes on it and grossed the money up so Id have enough in my possession to close the house loan. I cannot send money back for IRS and payroll purposes but yet am being told its the only way to close the loan. Meanwhile my wife and I are still in a hotel and not only are we going to lose our ******* money, the house is going back on the market and we are without a home. A letter from the company President and an employment contract explaining the pay were not enough to suffice but yet we didnt hear about this until the day of our closing. They continue to blame us for not being able to close and only offer the solution of sending the money back to my employer as a means to get this done. Meanwhile, my dogs, wife and I are trapped without a home or any of our belongings as they are in storage somewhere on a moving truck from our home in another state.
