In April 2021, I signed a contract for windows with Lockes. They indicated they would take 6-8 weeks to come in. Not hearing anything via phone, email, or postal mail, I called early August to find out if they were in. They indicated *** the owner was trying to get a hold of me but wasn’t have any luck. I had gotten a new phone number but no other methods were tried to reach me. It took 3 weeks and multiple calls for *** to get back with me and tell me he needed to remeasure the windows. After remeasuring in August the windows came in Mid October. I had to call the company to find out that I was tentatively on the schedule and call and ask to speak to *** to find out I was on the schedule. During this conversation he gave me conflicting information about the time frame the windows took to come in, & when the office was to notify me of the scheduled time. At this time it had been 6 months since I had signed the contract and per there contract “Work will be completed in a workmanlike manner within a reasonable time as scheduling permits in accordance with this proposal”. Six months after the contract was not filled and windows only took two months to come in after ordered. Lockes did not show up for the time *** had scheduled nor did they call or notify in any way that there was a delay in the project. When calling to find out where the crew was the office employee told me it was not her problem. My husband then called to discuss the matter and she hung up on him. My husband spoke to *** and at the time cancelled the windows as the timelines was not meeting contract and customer service was beyond poor. At the time of cancellation *** gave the option to buy the windows and have someone else put them in but that was declined. 2 days later we have received an invoice for the windows. The contract does not indicate that we would need to purchase the materials if the job was canceled.
