Cathedral's educational program spans three centuries. In 1889, Fr. Timothy Hickey asked the Dominican Sisters, then located in Jacksonville, Illinois, to staff St. Mary's School, teaching boys and girls within the same classroom. They began their teaching in 1890. Staff and students of St. Mary's moved to the new Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in 1928.
Our Mission: Cathedral School provides quality education in an environment of spiritual, intellectual, and moral formation through word, service, community and worship.
Our Vision: Formed in the image and likeness of God, we develop our students mind, body and soul, to prepare them to succeed in a diverse and ever-changing world.
