Writing this review for my mother. She lived in one of Ideal Rentals for 2 years. Never had many issues with the house. Paid her rent and bills on time every month. She put in her 30 day notice to move September 1, 2023, as she was buying a house. We made sure the house was clean, no trash left behind etc etc. Handed in the keys 2 weeks early with no issues. Today November 2, 2023 she received a letter, excuse me a bill stating she did not pay her rent for September 2023. We have the receipt from the money order showing proof she paid it. Plus they are charging her a painting fee because she was a smoker. It was never stated in the lease she could not smoke. She should not be charged for this. The letter stated she owed just over $1900 in fees, kept her deposit and still say she owes just over $600 still. This is clearly taking advantage of an elderly woman. I can only imagine what they have done to others. If she don't pay it they will probably next take her to court. I will continue to post this review all over until Justice is made.

All I can say is document everything, take pictures. Next be warned the narcissistic manager that has no business in a position he is in. Rude, backstabbing, petty, abrasive with no customer service skills. When you have something that is in n eed of repair IT IS ALWAYS NOT A EMERGENCY, but getting their rent is, paying for items that don't work is. Second 90% of their properties doors screwed shut, the quality of repairs are done by fly by nights, windows may as well not have any. Never take their word as they will do something been a year and no door yet, I wish i could sent a picture of one repair. There is a second floor deck that one beam is rotted. So instead of replacing the 4x4 that would of been less than the L brackets that they bought, lol. Yeah great quality work. I waited so long for a dishwasher i just bought one. The best one is they have cleaned the carpet so much that the nap is falling out, but you always tore it up. Please be careful.
