Best dealer / repair shop in Georgia. On our way to Montana on our brand new RV, the module that powers the dashboard went bad. we arrived at the shop in the morning and by 2 pm, there was a diagnose and part was ordered for overnight delivery. We were back on the road the very next day. Matt and the entire team was amazing. they kept our RV plugged in overnight so our food wouldn't go to waste. if you ever breakdown on the road, make sure you do it close to this company. our vacation was not ruin because of them.Review from DEANGELO S.

Customer: ******** *******
Original Work performed April 24, 2023 and completed on May 22, 2023. Mileage 761,515
During this time the customer had extended coverage through an after market company that we had to get approval from and supply additional information prior to ordering parts to make the needed repairs.
As you can tell on the invoice there was extensive work completed on several parts of the truck.
RO 57577
1. The truck had a problem building air to operate the air brakes and needed components that require air.
2. The truck had a no throttle response code
3. CPC Replacement
4. Pressure relief valve on the air compressor replaced
5. Replace Primary air fitting on air tank
6. (Line K) Diagnostics Air conditioner Inoperable. This is a second job from the truck air. It is easy to interchange the two. Air Conditioning (AC) refers to the comfort in the cab while Air refers to the safe operation of the truck IE air brakes.
7. Right rear drive axle brake chamber replace
8. Airconditioning Compressor and Dryer replaced to keep the cab cool.
9. Replace air fitting on wet tank. This is the operation side of the truck.
10. Replaced the main air line from the compressor to the air dryer.
Pictures of failed parts had to be uploaded to the customers aftermarket warranty provider for them to make a decision on paying for the repairs of the truck. During the time of waiting for approval the truck was towed out of the shop so another customer job could be started.
We where able to get the customers extended coverage company to pay $3,983.20 and the customer paid $3,462.03. The extended coverage company would not pay the $781.39 portion of the repairs.
All Freightliner parts installed by a Freightliner dealer are warrantable at any Freightliner dealer across the United States. Customer had an additional problem with his truck that he felt based on repairs that we previously completed. We informed the customer he could take the truck to the dealer closest to him and if there was a problem with any part we had installed it would be covered under the Freightliner parts and labor coverage since we had installed it.
Second Repair:
June 26th – July 12, 2023 Mileage 766608. 5,093 miles after the first repair
AC Blowing Hot again:
AC Compressor from manufacture failed. Replaced Airconditioning Compressor and dryer. All parts and labor covered at no charge to the customer.
Air Building Slow and loosing pressure again. (This deals with the operation of the truck)
Replace air dryer assembly and three drain valves.
Quoted customer to replace air compressor. It is not uncommon when a truck has had the number of air leaks this truck had, with the condensation this truck had in the air tanks due to a bad air dryer for the air compressor to struggle building air once all down stream repairs and leaks have been taken care of. In some cases the air compressor would have to be replaced as it is now to weak to complete the job it is asked to do.
Customer states that he did not approve the diagnostics of the air compressor and wants it removed. However, customer approved the replacement of the Air Dryer and valves. Diagnostics on the air system had to be completed to know there was a problem with the air dryer and valves. How can the customer not know there was a diagnostics charge?
Quote/Case # 13284727 was completed on 6/28/23 at 4:04 PM and verbally discussed with the customer. This quote shows on line 3 diagnostics charge of $360.00. This quote included the request to replace the Air Dryer and the drain valves. However, we have taken the diagnostics charge off the quote to the customer as a good will.
Same case # on July 7th quoted the customer to replace the Air Compressor due to it not being strong enough to do the job. It is not common to replace air compressors around 500,000 miles. This truck has 766,608 miles.
Forward, In the customers complaint he states he took it to another Freightliner dealer on 5/25/23 – 6/2/23 to address repairs we made. On the invoice from that dealer (Peach State, Forest Park) the complaint is a MIL light on in the dash. The cause was the Intake manifold pressure to high and the DPF in Zone 3. Their Diagnostics lead to the waste gate on the turbo had failed. They also did a diagnostic on the driver window would not roll up. Customer declined both of those repairs and paid a bill of $844.26. Neither of these items has Middle Georgia Freightliner addressed in a previous repair or even had a code for during our previous repairs. They did have a line on the Service Order of “Losing Air Quickly” but did not address this item, therefore not charging for it. In light of this, the customer did know the truck was loosing air even though he states he didn’t approve us to do the diagnostics. He also states he didn’t give Peach State (Not Related to us) the authorization to do diagnostics, yet that is the first line on the customer complaint.Heath Wood
