    My wife and I purchased a ********** ***** in ******* ****. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle we noticed that air was coming in through the driver side window making a blowing noise while driving. We took the vehicle back to the dealership to have it repaired, where they attempted to repair it the first time. After that repair did not work, we took it back for a 2nd repair where they kept the car for a month and sent it to a body shop for repairs. The repair seemed to hold for a little while however the issue returned a few months later and we took the car back again in **** 2023. Today it has been 1 month of the car sitting in the parking lot of the dealership not having any work done to it. We are not allowed to take the car back because the dealership claims it needs to be on hand for photographs. Every time we want an update we have to reach out to the dealership to get any information out of them. To make matters worse, we received a few text messages, screenshots attached, from the General Manager (GM) of the dealership stating that she was with the technician working on a solution for the car on a Friday, and that if that solution did not work then they would replace the vehicle starting on Tuesday. We contacted the dealer on Wednesday to get an update where the GM said she was with the technician working on the car again? This entire process has been a nightmare, the dealership is doing nothing with the car and we are forced to make payments on a vehicle that sits in a parking lot "waiting for repairs". We even tried to go back to the dealer to make some sort of deal with them, willing to take a $5000 loss on top of a loss in warranty to get out of the car where the dealers finance lead straight up refused. I cannot express what a stress this has been on my wife who is without her vehicle and we cannot go to other dealers to look for cars because this dealership basically has the car hostage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I've been to this location multiple times as it is the only Volkswagen dealership in Augusta, the location of my duty station. I originally needed my daytime running light fixed. I went to Gerald Jones some time in June and they charged me over $200 to fix it. The told me it would take a few hours so I waited inside the building and the process took so long I had to call out of work because I didn't have a vehicle to drive, and they did not offer a loaner. They notified me that they couldn't get it seen the day of my appointment to I had to go back home by my own means. It in fact took over two days to do a diagnostic on my car. Later, after I got the text that my car was finished, I got my car, left the lot, and found out that not only did they not change my daytime running light, but my brights were also out somehow. What did I pay for? I went back late June for Gerald Jones to correct the issue I was having and they charged me yet another round of over $200, telling me I could get my car back in a couple of days and I specified which day I could return, this time they gave me a loaner. I returned in those couple days and they informed me that my car hadn't even been looked at and they had no mechanics that were available to honor my appointment. After OVER A WEEK of no car nor contact, I called and asked if I could retrieve my car and when I got there, Gerald Jones STILL didn't fix the issue. They told me that the cage for the daytime running light "cannot be opened" meaning they couldn't get it open. How is it possible that a Volkswagen dealership is so incapable of fixing a Volkswagen car? Recently, I had to go all the way to Atlanta to another dealership to get my car fixed and that dealership fixed my daytime running light issue no problem! The one that Gerald Jones said couldn't be resolved because the cage can't be opened! This location is incompetent and lacks communication. Highly don't recommend.
