I used Best Plumbing & Remodeling in 2023 and unfortunately thought I could trust what I was being told. They sold me a new water heater (fine, needed one, that is not the problem), but I find out now, a year later, that they never applied for a county permit for the work and so the work was not inspected. This is a problem for me in applying to my home insurance *** for buying a new, energy-efficient water heater. I wish I had known myself that a county permit was necessary for a water heater switch-out, but I did not know. This is a matter of taking advantage of the customer.

I used Best Plumbing for 2 issues with my kitchen sink and a tricky switch-out of a shower head in the master bath. I was completely satisfied with the Best Plumbing, starting with Bonnie, in the office who was friendly, helpful and was great with communication. The plumber, Brandon, arrived on time, was very friendly and took care of the 3 issues quickly. Brandon was experienced and very knowledgeable. He was able to give me a quick overview of a larger plumbing project that is in my future. This was my first service call at my new condo, but I used Best Plumbing at my single family home for 10+ years. Over the 10 year period the projects were large and small, The response time was excellent, especially for the more urgent problems. Best Plumbing is family-owned business, that charges a fair price for services. Craig, the co-owner, sets the tone for integrity, a good work ethic and excellent customer service. I highly recommend this company.

Had a leaky shower handle and I was worried that they were going to have to remove a few tiles to fix the issue. They were able to come out on a Saturday morning to get the job done and they charged a very reasonable price. They are just as professional on the phone as they are in person and they didn't try to upsell me on anything. Highly recommended.

There was a large oak tree that crushed part of our sewer pipe. Best Plumbing did a video which showed tree roots intruding our sewer line. The tree was on the county property side of our house. Best Plumbing wrote a letter stating all the damage the tree and roots were causing. The county had the tree removed. Best Plumbing didn't come with the proper equipment to remove any remaining roots and do their job properly. They said they weren't expecting roots like that. They saw the tree ahead of time and some of the root damage in the video. Big trees normally have big roots. We had to pay a tree company twice because of this. In the process they cut our irrigation line. The technician even acknowledge it but they wouldn't fix it. I was told the contract said they weren't responsible for unforseen irrigation lines. If your technician knew he hit it obviously it could be seen. Plus it was literally on top of the pipe they were fixing. They also spilled pink pipe glue on our pavers. Our camera shows them trying to clean it up, couldn't then putting a pile of mulch on top of it to cover it up. The job was bigger than they expected but coming with lack of equipment multiple days didn't help out. Our bill was $1,000 over our estimate, we had to pay for the tree company twice (on top of their fee) and they cut our irrigation line and wouldn't fix it. We went above and beyond with doing everything we could to help and still got this type of service. Very unprofessional all the way around. We've used them for years but will never use them again. Neither will my family. Definitely won't be recommending them to anyone.

As the customer stated, it was our testimony that helped them battle the city to remove the tree.

When I generated the estimate, I knew the extent of the tree roots and that's why my estimate specifically stated the customer was responsible for the tree root removal. The extent of the tree roots is why I also stated that we were not responsible for the irrigation lines. Simply because it is impossible to distinguish between a tree root and a pipe.

Our technician was in constant communication with the customer, keeping her informed of everything he was seeing and dealing with.

I spoke with the husband, informing him of the situation in regards to the tree company/City not removing what was needed. He was very understanding and further understood the additional charges due to the additional work needed to get them a working sewer for the holiday.

Being that we are not a tree removal company, we do not have the chainsaws and stump grinding equipment. We are a plumbing company.

It's sad to us that our company has worked for this customer for many years, did an extraordinary job in fixing their broken sewer line issues due to massive roots, only to have a bad review. Mainly because it is due to a small irrigation repair that I clearly stated in my proposal, that my company does not do.

The area in question, I had discussed with the customer and stated they would need an irrigation company to repair it. I do not carry those materials and even reminded her that I stated this in our contract. In this same conversation, I stated we'd go ahead and repair the other lines that were broke, so that we could backfill our trench. The materials needed for those repairs, I do stock. I also, did not charge for the time I helped the technician, nor did I charge for approximately eight hours for my helper's time.

We are not a tree company or an irrigation company, we are a plumbing company that performed the work we promised.
