Called ServiceOne to do maintenance on AC, when tech arrived I also mentioned that blower motor was probably not working and needed to be replaced and asked to check thermostat as well because I replaced thermostat about 8 months ago with Nest thermostat. My AC was working perfectly with the exception that blower motor keeps the fan inside air handler on. After tech did his checks he mentioned that blower motor does need to be replaced and also said that only 2 of the 8 wires from my thermostat going to the air handler and the outside unit have continuity (working). This was not a problem before the tech did his check as the AC unit outside and inside were working fine before tech did anything, after tech test outside unit stopped working. Tech then mentioned that they would have to rewire from thermostat to air handler to outside unit on the side of my house and it’ll cost ~$800 and replacing the blower motor would be ~$500. I was not comfortable with the rewire and asked for another tech, they send a senior tech. After his check, he mentioned 4 of the wires are working and will need to rewire from inside to outside the house. They cut the wires and I had no AC or heat, which they said they will fix the next day. The senior tech did fix it so the aux heat can work until the next day. I called a different AC company and their diagnoses were the blower motor is bad, however the wires from the thermostat to the air handler and outside unit is fine. The different AC company replaced the blower motor and had to fix all the cut wires ServiceOne did and cost me $350 for fixing ServieOne mess with the wires. No rewiring was done as all the wires had power. I will never do business with ServiceOne again and will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and consumers affairs. As two of their technician came up with the same conclusion that the wires from thermostat to outside unit and air handler had no power and other AC company found no issues with those wires.

Thank you for your review.  I must clear up a couple of things so that if anyone reading this review, can have a picture of this service call from our companies perspective.  First, we were called out for a Precision Tune Up, and the unit was not working properly upon our arrival.  Our tech did discover that there was an improperly installed NEST Thermostat.  Naturally he assumed that is why the blower was running continuously.  He quoted the additional cost, and with your permission he uninstalled the thermostat, to wire correctly and properly programmed the thermostat.  You were charged $164.80 for this. It is labeled on your invoice from the original call as install customer supplied thermostat.  After correcting the thermostat, he found that the indoor motor was still running continuously.  He determined that the module on the motor was bad, and that to be the cause of the blower running continuously issue.  In an attempt to further finish the tune up, he found that the reversing valve was clicking on the outdoor unit due to low voltage issues, he determined that there was low voltage continuity issues in several wires.  At this point you called into our office upset, at his findings.  We sent a senior technician out to look over our previous technicians findings at no additional charge to you.  He determined that there was in fact a bad blower module and that 4 of your conductors on your low voltage wiring were compromised.  We quoted the repair, and you got a second opinion, which is perfectly fine.  You chose to go with the findings of the second opinion and that is fine as well.  It is very possible for a technician to use the remaining 4 conductors to make your system cool again, but it will not be able to function to manufacturer specifications, and you may have further problems down the road due to this.  It is our companies policy to make correct repairs, and not shortcut, as that causes issues in the future.  We did not collect any form of diagnostic fee, nor did we collect any fee for the tune up we were unable to complete.  We had several hours of time involved on this, and all we collected for was the $164.80.  I am not sure how you came up with $350, but that is not correct.  We can send you proof of the portion that we did collect.  If for some reason you were charged and paid $350, we will happily send you a refund for the difference.  Please provide us with proof of this charge to your credit card and we can make that happen.  I do hate that we were unable to satisfy you, it is our goal to make every customer very happy with our service and our repairs.  I wish you luck and success with your AC and Heating system going forward.

Worst service experience I ever had. The technician, (Paul) was arrogant, disrespectful, unprofessional and had the worst attitude I've ever seen. His work was amateurish and unprofessional. In fact it looked like a child did the work. He even tried to dupe me into doing less work. The only enjoyment I experienced was when he left and was out of sight.

We have tried on several times to reach out to this customer. We have photos of the water heater installation and it looks fine. We are confused by this review. Our plumbing manager would like to go out and review the work of our technician and discuss with the customer. We are very sorry that he was unhappy with our service and would like to rectify the situation.
