If you receive a phone call from someone claiming to be a Fresno County sheriff's deputy stating that you're in trouble and you must pay now...proceed with caution.

The scammer uses a fake badge number and name, and tells victims they are in trouble with the law and they must pay via a gift card in order to avoid arrest.
