The motor on my agricultural pump burnt out back in February 2022. ******* (VP, Operations) at Anderson Pump advised my father to have it repaired rather than replacing it because it would cost less to have it repaired (~$4,000 repair VS. ~$7,000 replacement). The repair would also come with a 1 year warranty, ******* told my father. Once Anderson repaired and installed the motor and as they were turning the pump on to check their work, the motor burnt out again. ******* told my father that the motor was now beyond repair and that a new motor needed to be installed. According to Luciano, the cost for the motor replacement would need to be covered by PG&E because it was due to PG&E’s bad installation. Since this, PG&E has been called several times for service because the fuses continue to burn out and the blade on the transformer keeps falling. – This is the original reason that ******* stated caused the first motor to burn out, because this has been happening since pump was installed in the end of 2016. PG&E has always stated that the issue is due to Anderson Pump’s installation and ******* states that it is due to PG&E’s bad installation and cabling. At the beginning of the problem, PG&E changed out the transformer. So PG&E says it is not their fault because they have done everything that they’ve had to on their side. However, we were just informed by PG&E techs that the transformer is smaller than what is needed for the pump and that they think that might be the issue. Since PG&E and Anderson were in charge of installation, we would like them to settle on which party (either Anderson or PG&E) is responsible for the payment of the new motor. We also want to be honored the warranty that came with the motor repair. Lastly, we would also like for PG&E/Anderson Pump to make all necessary repairs so that we do not have any further problems in the future. We have asked for the paperwork regarding the warranty on several occasions but Anderson hasn’t issued us anything.
