On December 6, 2023 I purchased a 2020 used Dodge Challenger at Lexus of Riverside **** *************, Riverside, ** *****. I purchased a gap insurance through Lexus ********* services for the amount of $995. The vehicle was financed through San Diego ******************** On January 2, **** I was approved to refinance/ purchase the loan at United ********************* federal credit union, and the loan was transferred. I then proceeded to call Lexus financial services to let them know to give me my refund for the gap insurance since it does not transfer to the new loan, but they told me they had already issued a refund check for the amount of $995 with a check number of *****. The customer service representative told me that the check was mailed or sent back to Lexus of Riverside which I immediately contacted and they told me they would reach back to me. I called them multiple times across a period of two weeks and they were just giving me a workaround saying that they do not have it, and that the check was actually sent Back to San Diego county credit union. I reached San Diego County credit ***** financial services customer support and they said that they never received anything and if they did, they would send it to me. In the end I have waited until today February 6, ****, giving them enough time to solve the problem but I have not received the check yet. I need to get that check back since I canceled it and it was part of the loan amount paid initially. Please help me resolve this issue.
