I Ordered a cord of wood on 2/28/23 from what is now “H****’s Nursery”( it use to be **** *** ******* ******** and paid $470 cash ($420 cord of wood & $50 for delivery). This was for a cord of wood (4’x4’x8’).When we received the wood, it was it dumped into a pile in our backyard from a dump truck .it looked a smaller than a cord of wood as we received wood many times. Once it was stacked on March 2nd , we noticed it was short almost a whole half a cord. I called the owner to give her the chance to make it right, and she told me to meet her at her business on Saturday, March 4 at 9 an, which she failed to show up to. One of her employees was there and contacted her. H***** gave them permission to give a partial scoop of wood, not stacking it to see if it was the appropriate amount. I informed her employee it didn’t look like enough. Her employee stated H***** only gave him permission to give me so much and nothing more, and was worried about being fired. Once I had this amount that I had to pick up stacked, we noted it still was short as we thought and verbalized prior to the employee. I called H***** back on 7 March to ensure that we could pick up more wood utilizing our gas after paying for delivery of wood. H**** refused to give any more word or to make it right which it should’ve been to begin with. I could’ve asked for more as I’m spending my money and multiple trips to pick up the remainder of wood. H**** called back stating we could pick up some more wood after we inform them, we will be contacting the BBB and writing reviews on yelp as well as Facebook. The Nursery still shorted us and gave us the run around. This was a cash deal and what used to be a well known nursery has now been driven into the ground by a new owner. Running a business & reputation that has been built over the years. Sad as I am disabled and retired that I have to endure this to fully able bodied person taking advantage of people like me. I’ve tried multiple times wasting gas & time.
